It is time to declare independence from big government! The next Tea party should be on July 4th! The following questions should be asked to all of our federal officials, from the president down:
- Did you even bother to read the entire Stimulus package?
- Do you know where the money is currently being spent and what the results are to date?
- What controls are placed on the stimulus dollars to ensure that they are being spent properly?
- Who is responsible for ensuring that these controls are adequate and effective? (Joe Biden? Yeah, right!)
- Why did this bill get rushed through congress despite Obama campaign promises of "transparency"?
-How can a corrupt and partisan organization like ACORN be given $5B of stimulus money? (This should be taken to the Supreme Court!!!)
- How can more bailouts, more stimulus programs and futher initiatives such as Health Care and costly environmental initiatives even be considered when the existing Bailout plan is so irresponsibly and ineffectively managed?
This administration is totally careless and irresponsible with the money that belongs to us, our children and grandchildren! Ask any one of them these simple questions, and I can guarantee that none of them have the answers!
We need to send a message this Fourth of July and every one after that this is not the kind of government we want or need!

There's an effort to take the next rally to D.C. Good idea. But in the last 24 hours I've seen "announcements" that it will be on July 4th, September 12th or October 6th from three different groups. These groups need to get their acts together.
BUT, July 4th on the Mall in D.C. is a madhouse. The Tea Party would be completely overshadowed by the Independence Day celebrations.
What’s the goal - the tangible outcome we want? How will we know we’ve achieved that outcome? Is the goal to get media attention? If so, what does that get us?
We need to build on the momentum from April 15th. We can get more participation based on the results yesterday. Further, we need to present our “leadership” with a list of questions and DEMAND answers in a united voice.

We need to organize for more than media attention. We need to organize for direct impact on those who aren't listening. We are going to have to do more than "party" to get their attention.
July 4th is NOT a good choice, in fact it is probley the very worst choice one could meke.
So let this date stay for what it stands for.
I disagree, this is the perfectg date, we declared independence from the Brits on thaqt date, it is time to declare independence from a European-style Socialist government that is ineptly and wastfully squandering our future.
It can be a virtual tea party, we can flood Washington with letters, emails and faxes. We need to make a bigger, louder and more forceful statement.
Americans should use July 4th to declare their independence from elected parasites by working together to vote out of office every damned politician who voted to spend the billions of dollars in “stimulus money” concocted by the Imposter-in-Chief.

Sometime in June would be a lot better, and in state capitals only.
November 2, 2010 is the date to keep in mind from now till then.
Don’t let the sheeple or congress critters a moment’s rest.
Multiple protest need to be held at different times in different places to keep the momentum going till November 2, 2010.
We MUST go to School Board meetings; find out how much is spent on unfunded mandates and tell them to stop. We MUST keep the pressure on - form a group of 10 people whose mission is to flood Congress critters email and their phone system. We MUST write letters to the editor.
Keep the July 4th celebration at home. This is a time when politicians at every level love to show themselves off. MAKE THEIR DAY A LIVING HELL. Have signs ready: “Read the Bill”, “Reading is good for you”, “Make your teachers proud, read out loud”. Oinks when they pass, tea bags held high. Show them the same respect that they show us.
Admiral Yamamoto said after Pearl Harbor, “I fear that all we have done is awaken a sleeping tiger, and filled him with a great resolve.”. Well, the dukes and princesses have done it again.
The next march should be for the firing of Janet Nappy. While there are many pluses associated w/her firing, it will instill a fear to other politicians - you target us, your next.
Why can’t you just do July 4th state-only parties like April 15th was and set the big one for Sept. 12th or whatever date that was. It’ll be cooler in Washington, D.C. then anyway, right?
This way you don’t have so long of a wait until they hear from us again.
I recommend July 3rd rather than July 4th, as most of us have the day off and will be able to attend. Most free space in our towns and communities is already taken for July 4th events, and we probably would run into trouble gettting permits (and unlike the left, we operate within the law).
Another problem might be that if we hold them on July 4th, the drive-by media will spin it as right-wing extremists force their views on bystanders on national holiday, that sort of thing. Of course, it’s only a suggestion and your mileage may vary.
