Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dropped a verbal bombshell in the middle of an interview on Good Morning America April 7, and surprisingly, neither the press nor a majority of gun rights activists seemed to notice. Responding to a question from ABC’s Robin Roberts, Pelosi said that while Congress apparently does not want to take anyone’s guns away, “We want them registered.”
Roberts: Under the Bush administration, you pretty much said the ball was in their court when it came to reinstating the ban. Now, it's a Democratic President, a Democratic House. So, is the ball in your court where this is concerned?
Pelosi: Yes, it is. And we are just going to have to work together to come to some resolution because the court, in the meantime, in recent months, the Supreme Court has ruled in a very- in a direction that gives more opportunity for people to have guns. We never denied that right. We don't want to take their guns away. We want them registered. We don’t want them crossing state lines...

As for the evil witch Pelosi, she doesn’t read the mood of the “real world”. She comes from a failed socialist state that doesn’t remotely resemble the rest of the US.
That’s okay, because at this rate, any and everyone that signs on to her gun grab will be removed from office. We will eventually purge the Congress and will hand her rearend to her on a platter. I look forward to the day. I am patient and persistent. And I have a long memory.
Our country has become a joke with these marxists in power. Nothing good or bad lasts forever. I am putting my bets on the Constitution.

I read yesterday that McCain/Bush carried districts now held by Dems in the House to the tune of about 69 districts.

Yup. And we register sex offenders today. Nobody here is going to complain about that... but the precedent has been set and it won't stop there. Wait until they decide to register gun owners and other "undesirables." In the name of public safety, just like the Nazis did.

In the late 60's / early 70's Chicago was still somewhat 'Gun Friendly'. And then one day old man Daley "just wanted handguns to be registered". BUT - by 1985 Handguns were basically OUTLAWED as no more NEW handgun registrations were being accepted by the CPD. Only those handguns registered in or prior to 1984 were 'allowed' to be renewed. (Handguns had to be re registered annually)
And you just might want to talk to your commie cohort, Di-Fi. She's had some experience with Commerce Clause Abuse and that SCOTUS thingy we have. Her experience wasn't good (She's still ticked because "her intent was good and it was 'for the children'."). Oh and then there's that whole "shall NOT be infringed" thang.
