Strict government control over businesses is the essence of Fascism, or more precisely, Mussolini-style corporatism. As Mussolini said, "Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power." Corporatism boils down to this: government tells industry (and labor) what to do and they do it for the supposed good of the country.

Ok, the precise description is that BHO is a Mussolini-style corporatist thug.

Brazil, home of Lula? The guy who blames blond white men with blue eyes for the global melt down? I hope your eyes are brown. ;)

GM came to Obama because of the unions. This is all a charade, and the UAW will be greatly rewarded for all of this, as will Wagoner, who will go off into the sunset a very rich man.

Wake up, America.

WHIF???
It’s a FULL-BLOWN STENCH!

This is FASCISM, in it’s most easily explainable text-book form.

The GOVERNMENT has removed the head of a PRIVATE AMERICAN CORPORATION. He has committed NO CRIME other than standing up to a Democrat.

Whatever you think of GM, it’s management, or even it’s unions, your liberal and Obama voting friends can no longer deny that FASCISM HAS ARRIVED!

Interesting observations.

What's distressing to me is that people across this country with little background in history simply like the idea of the government taking over everything and running it. THAT is the thing we should be wary of whoever does it. But these companies are going to Uncle Sam with hands out, so if such a situation occurs, the government shouldn't be some ATM that just spits out money, which is subsequently squandered.

This isn't something I like happening, but at the same time, while we're all defending capitalism, it's these "capitalist" bigwigs in corporations who are trying to sign up for welfare. If THEY don't care about the consequences of trying to grab that government cash, I couldn't care less if they hold their jobs.

I wish we'd stopped this trend long ago, but now companies think they can just run to the government for money, and the problem is we now have a government that's interested in taking them up on the offer because they can get their foot in the door and take over industries.

Now that this trend has started, I don't see it stopping. If capitalism is collapsing in this country, I've got news for ya--it ain't just Obama and the leftists who're killing it, it's these "capitalists" people like us have been defending. When the chips are down, they suddenly turn into collectivists, "If we fail, the dominoes will fall and hurt YOU, so fork over the cash" being their new "The business of America IS business."

THis is not a WHIFF of Fascism. It is a big, gaseous Fart of Fascism -something Al Gore would let loose on the environment, but this is more serious than the bloated clown from Tennessee.

Obama is a communist but is clearly using early Hitlerian tactics to achieve his “financial cleansing.” Then it will be on to more cleansings of the military, the FBI, Justice, and any group that opposes his increasingly authoritarian rule.

Read William Shirer’s “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.”

GM came first to Bush and then Obama because of shitty management. Ford and Chrysler have unions too but management learned how to negotiate and push them.

If GM wants government off its back, they need to do what Ford has done and deny any bailout money but they can’t. They’ve spent the last 10 years running their company into the floor and can’t survive without it.

I am against this bailout and think in any capitalist system if you suck, you fail, you get bankruptcy. But so long as any tax money is being handed to shitty companies I sure as hell want conditions with it.

Now if Obama seeks the Ford CEO’s resignation when no bailout money goes to Ford, that would be facism.

But for GM to lose 95 percent of its total value under Wagoner, over 80 billion in losses in three years, taking 25 billion in bailout money and another 40 billion in loans, then people come in here and call this facism that Wagoner is being fired just sounds like complete idiocy if not down right lunacy.

How’d you guess?

Despite the rhetoric, Brazil could do a lot worse than Lula. The U.S. is Brazil's largest import and export partner.

It’s lunacy to think that Wagoner or anyone could turn around GM in this economy in a matter of months regardless of any bailout funds.

Are you a lunatic? Obama supported the intial Bush bailout.

Something I have been trying to get across to people for months around here is how bipartisan the financial shenanigans has been in the last 10 years.

The primary culprit behind the whole financial mess we are experiencing is The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999. And guess what the Senate vote was on its passage....90 for and 8 against.

Both sides of the aisle sold capitalism down the river and our fate was sealed when that legislation was written and introduced by the GOP, passed by almost equal numbers of republicans and democrats and signed by Clinton.

“He is making lots and lots of powerful enemies”

Yes, it he snubs those who we consider allies, and is reaching out to those that we have historically distanced ourselves from. It’s as if he wants to be part of the circle of the current trouble makers. And it’s interesting that those are the countries who have dictators as leaders.

The G20 should be interesting this week. He’s loosing supporters and we’ll see how he reacts to a not so warm welcome by the protestors in London.

I am saying Wagoner should have been fired by GM itself years ago...this is just long, long overdue and I don’t care who does it. As long as someone did and in this case it was the government who had every right to due as conditions of billions of our money being sent GM’s way.

And the part about Obama supporting the initial Bush bailout I have no idea what you are implying by that. Yes, Obama did support the Bush bailout, so he is an idiot like Bush, I know.

He may get destroyed long before he destroys America. He is making lots and lots of powerful enemies. Many more than JFK did.

I have a bad feeling about Obama's globetrotting power-play this week.

Obama (and the country) has so much more to fear from the new KGB, than the old KKK.
