I've heard just the opposite. This is ADAM Baldwin, not related to any of the "Baldwin Bros." I've heard that he's conservative, but more importantly, that he's really a terrific human being, involved in a number of charities.
I've been a big fan of his since "My Bodyguard," and I've really liked him in every role I've seen him play, but he was PERFECT as Jayne Cobb. He's the perfect comedic/action actor playing the (sort of) bad guy.

That he is. If you really want to see him shine rent the Firefly sci-fi series and the movie Serenity, where he play a tough mercenary/smuggler named Jayne Cobb (yep, that's the right spelling!). Baldwin himself describes this character as "Sex. Muscles. Humor. Thuggery. Jayne."
Adam Baldwin is not part of the “famous” Baldwin family.
From the show, he looks like an actual gun owner. His gun handling looks like he has had real instruction. Good muzzle control, proper sight alignment.
