I checked out the source (Joint Center etc.,etc,) and I don't find where this is any more reliable. I would tend to believe the daughter of Mr King before a think tank whose main objective is to only further the cause of a single race,instead of trying to empower and strenghten that same race through truth.Knowledge is only good if it empowers you in a positive way.
(but,then again,that's just my humble opinion....)

I wonder about this source as well. I’ve been trying to find it, but wasn’t there a quote from W.E.B. DuBois (in one of his books) where he chastises Black people for voting so solidly Republican all the time? This would have been near the top of the 20th century.
