The tax laws in this country have been punishing married couples for a very long time.Then why is it that gays are pushing so hard for gay marriage?
We have heterosexuals who want to live together without marriage and gays who want to get married.

That I do not know. All I know is my wife and I pay about 4-5% higher taxes as a married couple than if we were “living in sin”.
