I saw Santorum on C-Span about a year back going on and on with some leftard. The general gist was "we're too fiscally conservative". Santorum is no conservative and should not be regarded as one.

If it takes more than two seconds for Santorum to back Toomey, then his entire conservative persona must be considered suspect. Being that he was the Senate sponsor of the Prescription Drug Pandering act, his "entire conservative persona" has been suspect for quite sometime now.
