I am going to say this one time, because I hate when FR looks like it doesn't know what it is talking about. The knighthood is HONORARY, therefore it is not an official title. So the Constitution doesn't care. That's how Rudy Giuliani and Jack Ryan were both able to accept one.

And Eisenhower. And George Marshall. And Ronald Reagan. And GHW Bush.

Calm down and let the British papers rake Teddy over the coals—this is their embarassment, not ours.

I agree with you that I hate it when FR doesn’t know what its talking about. This is a PRIME example of that! To claim that an ‘honorary’ title is acceptable under our constitution is complete HORSE CRAP.

All ‘honorary’ means is a slick little legalease dodge that means absolutely NOTHING to get around that pesky constitution thingy so you can trash the constitution and look like you’re upholding it.

I bet my entire life savings that our founders intended Article I Section 9 to INCLUDE HONORARY or anything else titles! They knew what kind of tyranny they had just fought a war over!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely sickening.
