17th amendment.
Once the states, as political entities, lost any representation in Congress, the mega-metropolitan areas on the east and west coast basically seized control.
They used to have to worry about whether or not something would “play in Peoria”, but not any more.
Great. If you like Mr. Quinn visit his website at www.theburningplatform.com . While your at it, check out whom the site is powered by and our plan. He is a member of a think tank I started in August. Some of the others like Jim are emerging economic leadership that also called this severe downturn to a T, some are retired nuclear engineers, political fund-raisers and technologists. There are lots of Patiots starting to sign up and join the collective bigger think tank of all of us - WE the People. We are the counter to this nasty socialist virus spreading across the nation. Best to all of yours. There are true Public Servants. We are just not in office - YET.

explain how direct election means no need to care how it would “play in Peoria”
i completely agree that this one amendment is almost as important as the 2nd ammendment. It needs to be repealed because it tipped the balance of power and has created this situation. We would not have any where near this 60 seat problem or this al franken mess. The senate was to be the voice of morality and not subject to pressure.
the worst amendment ever.
