He's going, going, gone. Keep on calling and writing. The vote isn't until Friday night. Perhaps he'll change his vote.

In one year when this “stimulus” fails to do what Obammy commanded it to do then Specter is toast.

And don't forget how Specter dumped on Governor Palin after the election, while yucking it up with his buddy "Fast Eddie" Rendell...

Specter, Rendell Offer Post-Election Perspectives (Palin Not Future Of Party)

Rendell, Specter say Palin hurt McCain's chances

Specter must be desperate to cover his own sorry hide since his staff also called Melanie Morgan and said that he wanted to talk to her after she and Jim stormed his office on Monday.

ut his worthless RINO ass off. Strip him of any committee rankings. Pull his RNC funding. Same for Snowe and Collins. Voting for this Porkulus bill is treasonous.

Personally, I think Specter’s elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top. But if anyone thinks he is anything but a democrat at heart, they are deluded.

There is nothing ‘Republican’ about Specter, Collins or Snowe. Their support for this socialist agenda porkulus proves they have nothing in common with the GOP and have betrayed fundamentals of what Republicans stand for and sign up to betray this country with the fascists trying to deflect attention and have token ‘Republican’ support. They really have shown themselves so far left that they don’t deserve to be included anymore. Let them take bringing this country down to their own graves.

The old GOP adage that it is better to have Specter in the Senate than a Democrat apparently no longer holds true.

That may have held true when the Republicans were in the majority, but now the party is so far into the minority that the potential loss of a seat does not outweigh the need to rebuild the party along more conservative lines. It's past Arlen's bedtime. He should retire in dignity or be bounced in the primary, his choice.

"It's over for Arlen. He would do best to retire gracefully," he said, adding that party leaders across the state have intensified talks about a primary challenge against Specter.

Translation: Arlen was just fine until the phones started melting from expressed rage and I now fear for my coveted career as a politician.

To someone who mentioned a Pat Toomey redux for the 2010 primary, I don’t think it will happen. I think Toomey is looking at the soon to be open Governor slot. I welcome that. Sorry to be selfish all of you freepers out there, but we in Pa could desperately use Toomey as a governor. He’ll probably have to run against Jack Wagner on the Democratic side and that will be a tough election. Perhaps we can have Santorum run against Spechter. Why not? Hopefully everyone in Pa has forgiven him for supporting Specter during the 04 primary. If not, there are other good conservative candidates to run.

Whatever happens, we have to defeat Specter in the primary if not the general election just to get rid of him. If he’s going to vote for this stimulous package, what good is he for having around? Seriously? If we can’t count on him when every other GOP congressman save two others are voting against the Dems then he’s not worth having. It’s like having a Democrat so we might as well have a Democrat representing us in Pa. At least it might send a message to other future RINOs who are thinking about bucking the GOP on key philosophical issues such as taxes and spending.
