No evidence that Saudia financed the Taliban? Ok, History of Saudia 101: in the 18th century, a mullah called Wahhab decided that Islam wasn't PURE enough, and he was against the sufi saints etc. He joined up with a tribal cheif, Saud and they intermarried. They then proceeded to conquer the Arabian peninsula. When they conquered Mecca and Medina from the Hashemites (currently rulers of Jordan), they then destroyed the tombs of Mohammed's companions and wives that were objects of devotion.
The Wahhabis then spread their brand of extremely recedivisticIslam around Arabia hand in hand with the Saud family
In the 20th century, Saudia discovered oil and used that oil money to finance madrassas across the world and those madrassas were not sufi or other types but were vehement Wahhabi madrassas who taught their students to hate and kill infidels.
They taught the poor Afghan refugees in northern Pakistan (refugees from the war between the Soviets and the Mujahideen). These Afghan students (Taliban) then knew only the koran and to fight, they were taught that everything else was evil (everything else, including music, sports etc.)
The Saudias also sponsored big building projects in their homeland and one of the biggest contractors were the bin Ladens. OBL took this money and moved to Afghanistan and met up with the Taliban.
SO two threads of Saudia sponsored terror came together. OBL got money from SA as did the Talibs (the only 3 countries that recognised the Taliban Govt of Afghanistan in the 90s were SA, the UAE and Pakistan).
Is that evidence enough for you?

In contrast, can you tell us when the Saudias proved allies? When they jacked up oil prices in the 70s, putting America in a recession? Or when they sponsored the Iran-Iraq war, giving Saddy a lot of money for weapons? Or when they graciously allowed the US to set up troops on Saudia territory to protect the Saudias?
Wake up....
