My Dad idolized Bing Crosby...and he had the old 33rpm recordings of his Christmas music. I found a set of them
in an antique store but have no player to play them on. :D

His versions of the tunes are a part of Christmas for me, too!

“My Dad idolized Bing Crosby”

Mine, too. My Dad had a huge collection of 33s and 78s, from Bing and the Mills Brothers, and Glen Miller Band and oher Big Bands, etc. And, a thank you note from Mrs. Crosby for the MassCard my Dad sent when he died. We teased him about that all the time.

When my Mom died, and we had to clean out the house to get it ready for the sale, I had to toss so many of my Dad’s records (we didn’t go through his stuff when he died, just left it as it was). We don’t have a turntable. He was a huge music fan and half the basement was filled with his music collection.

While growing up, I think I watched every movie Bing Crosby starred in(and listened to every album), as well as John Wayne, another favorite of my Dad’s. And Bob Hope. LOL! Bing, John Wayne, and Bob Hope could do no wrong.
