I’m wondering what “civil rights” mean, now that all laws discriminating against blacks or people of any other minority (in the US) races are have been gone for years.
Everyone can vote, rent, buy, sit, eat, drink, etc without restrictions based on race.
I don’t get it. Other than affirmative action.
IS Hillary already appointed to something for sure?
No. As far as I know, she’s not definite. So, aside from Rahm Emmanuel, I don’t know any white people to whom Obama has given a job.
THanks. Pret-ty strange.
Its going to be a long, dark, four years.
How the eff does the Agriculture Department even have a "track record on civil rights" - abysmal or otherwise?!
Farm reparations for the disenfranchised farmers.
............
You got it. Most of the disenfranchised were never even farmers.
“The fourth-generation farmer and civil rights activist would be a surprise choice given the leadership pedigrees of other possible nominees, such as former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack.”
So the less experienced minority will be given the job in lieu of the more experienced white guy. Why does this sound familiar?
They’re not even hiding the fact that this is a choice based on race. Unbelievable.
