Opinion: Our Mission is Culture Conversion not Culture War

We must pray like it all depends on the intervention of God, because it does. We must work as though He relies on us to do it, because He does. We must engage this age with the language of life, authentic freedom and true solidarity, developing a new apologetic which unmasks the insidious lies of the current culture of death and the libertine excess now masquerading as liberty. However, let’s be clear, there can be no compromise on the truth concerning the primacy of the human person and the inalienable right to life of every person at every age and stage. This is the foundation of any just society and this is our Mission. Our position on this foundational truth is not simply a “religious” position it is The Truth and it is written large in the Natural Law which binds all men and women and is knowable by reason. It is also confirmed by medical science, every procured abortion is the killing of a child. If the smallest and weakest among us do not have inalienable rights, none of us do. In fact, the entire hierarchy of civil rights and the infrastructure that has been built to defend those rights and protect against their violation teeters on the brink of collapse.

The Presidential election is over. In taking up our post - election position in this mission of cultural conversion we need to recover the insight that early Christians understood so well, our struggle is not against people but against wrong ideas, ideologies and spiritual forces of wickedness.

I hope that the National Pro-life March this year will break every record in the history of American Protests. This is the year to show the whole world that the people of life are never going to give up!

Let’s face it: Patrick J Buchanan was right about the Culture War. Too many Republicans chose to sit out the fight.

Another culture war is being fought half a world away against the same enemies...

We lost the culture war when we started concentrating on politics, instead of personal evangelism.

It was all a mistake. If we had used a fraction of the resources that we poured into politics, and instead used it for straight-up evangelism, in Blue states, then the culture would have taken care of itself.

And I say this as someone who once thought that Christian political activism was essential.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

We lost the culture war when we started sending our children to atheistic secular humanist government schools!

If you send children into an environment where the teaching about the culture is separated from God, then don't be surprised when the children eventually separate themselves from God.

A Christian's **most** important mission field is his **own** children. A congregation's **most** important mission field is the children sitting in the pews in their own church. Get the children out of the Marxist and atheistic government schools and into **Christian** homeschools, mini-schools, one room school houses, and homeschool cooperatives.

That’s why homosexual ‘marriage’ is important to them. It’s not that they want a property arrangement; civil unions give that. It’s that gay ‘marriage’ opens the door for ‘non-discrimination’ in schools...first graders must learn about husband/husband and wife/wife relations and celebrate them just like real marriage.

The war has already begun, and it wasn’t started by us.

The most effective action Christians can take to undermine secular humanism is -- to politely withhold the resource the humanists lust for above all others -- the hearts, minds, and souls of our children.

Liberalism is parasitic and sterile. The race for the future of America has several contenders -- traditional Catholics, home-schooling protestants, Mormons -- that all value large families.

That's what happened in MA, immediately after the Supreme Judicial Court ruling. It's interesting to note that the two women who brought the suit, and were the first to 'get married', got a divorce within two years.
