According to the bios I just read online, Congressman Emmanuel has never worn the uniform of the United States, just like his new boss. Yet they want to draft EVERY youth in America into some kind of Young Pioneers/Hitler Jugen type organization.

Rahm has cold dead eyes and an open hatred for capitalism which has made him personally wealthy.

His type of personality is a key player in marxist revolutions. He seems easily able to detach from, demonize and dehumanize any opponents of his thinking, making it easy to treat them with contempt or worse.

He wasn’t in the Israeli Army, either.

He did volunteer to go to Israel to join Volunteers For Israel. They worked in hospitals and performed the more mundane tasks on Israeli military bases so the soldiers could fight on the front lines.

Actually, the correct term is “manstealing,” and it is completely forbidden in Scripture.

Exodus 20:15: You shall not steal.

The first of the many verses that are pertinent to a discussion of the draft and national service is the Eighth Commandment prohibiting theft. Two common misconceptions must be eliminated if we are to understand the meaning of this Commandment. First, the Commandment does not refer only to inanimate property. The Hebrew word is used in connection with both property and persons, and in Exodus 21:16 we read of “manstealing,” i.e., kidnapping, which is a capital crime. This commandment clearly forbids not only the theft of property, but also the removal of innocent persons against their will.

The second misconception is that the Ten Commandments, including this one, apply only to private individuals and not to governments. This notion, which has absolutely no foundation in Scripture, illustrates how far we have gone toward deifying government, for it is attributing divine qualities to rulers to say that they in their official (or private) capacities are exempt from the law. The Commandments, as both the Bible and the Westminster Confession say, bind all men without exception. Rulers and governments are commanded not to steal, murder, covet, lie, or do any other act prohibited in the moral law. Zacchaeus the tax collector stole from the people, and upon his regeneration he recognized his subordination to the moral law. King Ahab broke the Sixth, Eighth, and Tenth Commandments in desiring and taking Naboth’s vineyard. John the Baptist in Luke 3:14 specifically applied the moral law to an agent of the government. There is not the slightest hint in Scripture that governments are above the moral law. And that moral law, as we have already seen, includes a prohibition on manstealing. Yet what are national service and the draft if they are not manstealing? There is no moral distinction between the actions of a private individual who kidnaps a person and a government that drafts its subjects under color of law. Both actions are clear violations of the Eighth Commandment.

Interesting how that works, ain’t it....

Shakes head.

Our eldest is 23, an engineer, voted McCain. His statement about his co-workers/peers who voted Obama, “ I can’t believe how such smart people could be so stupid.”

Strange times are coming, but he will be alright because he has his eyes open. His peers.... not so much : \

They are in for the surprise of their lives.

This election WILL impact THEIR lives in ways they never imagined. Bad ways.

Yes, but he was a volunteer with the Israeli Defense Force during the first Gulf War, in a non-combat role. And he is said to be Orthodox. Thus, his model would seem to be such things as the Kibbutzim, which, while they make sense for Israel, may not make sense here. Nor would the racial qualifications of Israel’s government as they reflect the Orthodox influence be compatible with the Constitution’s mandate of separation of church and state. They would, however, seem to be compatible with Ci cago ethnic machine politics. Of course, if you mentioned this in his presence he would, it seems, call you obscene names and scream in anger.

Typical leftist hypocrisy. I don’t believe Lenin or Stalin served in the military either though...

Forcing anyone to do volunteer work is MARXIST. The leftist continue to propagate volunteerism at schools all across Amerika. If it has to be then those of us who are Conservative must develop volunteer plans that put Conservatives values into play. Enough of bagging lunches for illegal immigrants, enough of ladling hash at homeless shelters. Enough of victim-hood. Promote values that the Conservatives believe in that move the victim beyond a meal. How about small theater conventions where influential, motivational speakers get the Conservative mantra explained, then maybe some hash.

Jah, mein herr! Und das ist gut!!

Here are the lyrics, and a link. Learn quickly lest you be scourged, and beheaded:
http://s68.photobucket.com/albums/i12/Gunkadink/?action=view&current=Obamaleader_0001.flv

Obama wants to be our fearless leader,
to his great name we sing in endless praise.
Our nation he says he would change for us forever,
to him we now our faithful voices raise.
Our land was sick, we need the great Barack Obama,
he brought to us his wondrous healing power.

The great Barack will be our wondrous savior,
he’ll save us all in this our darkest hour.
Obama told us that he loves our greatest freedoms,
but that to last, all them he’ll have to take,
And then we’ll live in strife and constant servile bondage,
it seems his talk is only mostly fake.

Before he came, we always had our weapons,
he took them first to keep his Brownshirts safe.
Reeducation camps are really horrid places,
with “showers” and many hangings with the rope.
Of man’s kindness there simply are no outward traces
we’re forced to read “Audacity of Hope.”

And so we march into that dark tomorrow,
without a thought of what that really means.
Our children soon will quickly come to loathe and hate us,
their former birthright we have pissed away.
And so the day you cast your vote for great Obama,
t’will be the day your liberties you’ll slay.

Here's the deal on Rahm. He is closely aligned with the Israeli experience. He volunteered for duty in Israel with the IDF during Gulf War I. The Israeli experience is a communal one, whether it be the kibbutz or the IDF. People forget Israel's socialist roots and these were the beliefs of many if not most European Jews.

In America the summer sleep away camp is a traditional right of passage for Jewish adolescents. Even the summer weeks in the Catskills speak of a communal experience, think of the movie Dirty Dancing. So when Emmanuel speaks of this it is born from his own experiences. the fact that it aligns with Obama's pronouncements about a civilian defense force is a problem to be dealt with, but Emmanuels' proposals are what he grew up thinking was the norm.
