WASHINGTON (Map, News) - A Republican congressman from Georgia is calling President-elect Obama a Marxist and warning that he might be planning to form a Gestapo-like security force so he can rule as a dictator.
Two-term Rep. Paul Broun of Athens cited a July speech that has circulated on the Internet in which Obama called for a civilian force to take some of the national security burden off the military.

Yes, it's over the top. How about NKVD, Cheka, Stasi? Not to worry, Hussein and Ayers will think of sneaking something that will appear perfectly reasonable and not seem "over the top", they are very smart that way.
How much is there out there about the national security force thing? Was that mentioned in a speech or was it a campaign release thing? IDK. A good start would be to get more info and have somebody with a big audience to get him or his people to talk (more) about it on the record.

I don’t know, the only reference seems to be part of one speech on youtube. My question stands, what is it supposed to do that a huge alphabet soup of agencies and institutions do not do?

The only good news is that gun owners are on to this sorry POS. Everyone is buying assault rifles and other guns, because we KNOW what's coming down the road, and I'll guarantee not ONE of those people are planning on turning them in when the next AWB comes along. That’s the rub right there, is getting something started, organized, a type of networking, talkradio really can’t do it, not sure if blogs can do it, I figure it has to start local, among like-minded friends, co-workers, maybe gun clubs, church groups, with the intent to branch out nationally, I’m thinking about it now because I don’t imagine too many other people are thinking about it.
Obama fully plans to rule and his followers are ever so willing. Look for a lot more internet utube initiatives. Remember the Obama girl? One can tell The One is ramping up and he will be on the cutting edge of cool.

I have no idea. Obama probably doesn’t even know what the hell he himself was talking about. We could always ask Biden. I can guarantee it would be an interesting if not mind bogglingly epic bizarre response.
All of those that you mention are essentially secret police forces, which will not be what they devise, its purpose is different. They know they can’t force their beliefs on society, but they get their by a different road, and a far more subtle one. Undoubtedly, what Obama and his fabian socialists are trying to do is to permanently alter the political trajectory and composition of the USA, by changing the mindest of people...breeding conservatism out of the populace by enlisting them in service to the nation within a managed ideological framework. This is what they do in college, in the public school systems, on television and in the movies. They present(often radical) world view and behavior as the norm, slowly inculcating people into accepting something that cannot be forced upon them. They are reeducating people in a subtle, but effective way. Think about the people who come out of the ‘Peace Corps’, now imagine creating something like that on a much larger, domestic basis. It worse than some police force that can be targeted and destroyed...they are changing people, and ultimately America, from within.
How trustworthy is that site?
The results are now known.
