Bush, Karl Rove, and Gerald Parsky, the guy they imposed on the California Republican Party to "fix" it.
If it hadn't been for those three, Bill Simon would have won the election, and California would have had an excellent governor. But they were furious at Simon for having beaten their earlier candidate, Richard Riordan (another stinking RINO), in the primary. So they refused to back him, and Parsky refused to fund his campaign properly.
Simon lost by only a few percent against Gray Davis--pretty good, considering the press were demonizing him, and a crooked judge kept a bogus charge alive against him, and Parsky refused give him any campaign funds for ads. In fact many of the big Country Club donors gave to Davis instead, probably under Parsky's guidance.
It was one of Rove's worst mistakes.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
When are people going to get that Karl Rove is an insider troll. That man is not who he says he is and there is lot more like him. He needs to sent away.
