RINOs should fade into obscurity...this election is living proof that their reach-across-the-aisle-with-no-reach-around only ends in defeat.
BURN DOWN THE BIG TENT, send the clowns and circus freaks where they belong, back to their beloved JACKASS party.
> Screw that CANADIAN faux-conservative.
Do you have a problem with Canadians?
A Canadian!? Did you know they have beavers on their nickels?
I can’t really say if that’s a good or bad thing...but Frum is a sissy!
In all seriousness, what is he asking Republicans to become? Democrats...right? I guess I don’t understand what he believes Republicans are for if they drop all these ideals.
Who’s David Frum?
In 1996, William Safire wrote that social conservatives need to ‘get to the back of the bus and let the adults drive’.
That was after those rabid social conservatives, Bob Dole and Jack Kemp, had their butts handed to them by Clinton after their fire-breathing campaign!
So yes, liberal GOPers who care about nothing but money want all others to leave the Party. Because we all know how well candidates do who pursue the middle-of-the -road voters...
No, but with faux conservatives from other countries who like to tell Americans who to vote for.
The poll today said that 91 percent of Republicsns approve of Sarah Palin, even wtih all the dirt the Bushbags on McCain’s staff threw at her. I guess David Frum (whoever heard of this guy?), the bloviating Peggy Noonan, Colin Powell, Charles Fried and the other Obama-backing nonentities make up the 9 percent. As I calculate it, 91 percent generally trumps 9 percent.
(I'm sorry. I just couldn't help myself.) ;)
“We need to let go of the GOP and form a conservative party and take the best and brightest conservatives with us.
The GOP can no longer be fixed.
We need to move on, and leave them behind to join the Whigs in political history.”
________
Absolutely. That’s why I am not a registered republican. To many, leaving the GOP is like filing for a divorce. It’s insane. We’ve been arguing this for 15 years. If this election doesn’t prove the GOP is NOT on the conservative
side I don’t know what it will take.
Lets be honest shall we - Brooks, Frum, etc display some elements of Christophobia. I don’t know if they are but it sure seems that way.
Remember what the Nazis did to the Jews? It’s happening here now, the Nazi Left Wing is getting ready to intern us
You just can't help but think that sort of thing ought to be a whole lot more readily apparent to a whole lot more people out there than it evidently is, y'know...? ;)
I was thinking more along the lines of a gay Chris Hitchens. But then, I’m reading this as Frummy’s coming out party.
How many years in the wilderness are you willing to endure?
My sentiments Exactly.
There are entirely too many NR staffers...well, actually, it’s not just NR staffers, there are a wide variety of center-right pundits...who need to take a laxative and clear their mind.
College-educated Americans have come to believe that their money is safe with Democrats—but their values are under threat from Republicans.
I’m sick to death of this. I’m a college-educated American and I don’t feel this way at all. Of course, I don’t have a high degree and I didn’t attend Ivy League or anything close, so I’m just a rube.
Gauche.
