I know this will sound silly, but I would like to make more black friends, be more involved, and do rejoice with them - if not in President-elect Obama's policies - at least we would agree about the historical significance of what he has accomplished.

Barry might not be as bad as we fear. Yes, he has power over every citizen. But he's human, too! With the same desires, same hopes, same fears as are common to man. Remember, there is a God in heaven, that He is the one to fear. As I feared greatly today fretting, and even being sick and throwing up, I was reminded of the One who provides food and raiment, the God that made you, me, Obama, and every other human being, every other creature. So, despite early ragings on my part - shameful things - I am willing to give the man a chance and wish him my the very best.
