Republicans will never be able to out-pander Democrats in placating third-world immigrant blocs. That is absolutely a losing strategy, and a major reason for the widespread lack of enthusiasm among grassroots Republicans and Americans in general for his candidacy. Republicans (thank you, Karl Rove) have played the “we must win the Mexican/mestizo vote at all costs” game for a while now to their great, and unfortunately, probably lasting detriment.

They tried to pander to illegal aliens and it blew up in their face. The conservative base got thrown under the bus and we got a retread candidate who was flattened in the election!
Puh-lease, Bush did great with hispanics...this election we were so concerned about appearing racist to blacks(who will NEVER vote for the GOP) than coming up with a strategy to make up for the ever shrinking white vote.
