ZOGBY SATURDAY: McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday poll. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all...
CBS, your favorite pollster, was off by 10% in 1996. They had Clinton up by 20 to 30 points for most of the campaign.
As a Yankee and Giant fan-I owed you that one!
Yeah. A few days ago Zogby had a McCain day which was just -3 after he had been down 10 or 11. It was big news.
Ignore the polls. Just VOTE!Amen to that!!

My take is that the MSM / Lamestream Media is out to suppress the GOP vote.
They are WAAAAAAYYYY overpolling Democraps in their polls, IGNORING factual stories negative for Obama and doing EVERYTHING they can to SMEAR McCain and especially PALIN with their lies.
I think this will blow up in their faces. When GOP voters see the tainted polls slanted to favor Socialist Obama, the GOP fence-sitters will crawl across broken glass to KEEP the Socialist Obama outta the White House !!!
Here in Texas, the first day of Early Voting set ALL TIME records for turnout. ALMOST DOUBLE the old record (up almost 80%) !!!!
The 48-47 McCain poll is a one day Zogby poll, the other polls are the 3 day average.
Don’t worry McCain will be well ahead Tuesday Night.
GO MAC!
That is, there are heavy negative sanctions (real & perceived) associated with expressing personal opinions with regard to Obama. As that is the case, there is a tremendous reluctance to even agree to respond to a poll, much less answer the questions truthfully.
Only in the privacy of the polling booth with the truth come out.
I agree. People have gotten into this mind set—and I have, too—that we put faith in the polls, when the press really should reveal in indepth stories post- AND pre-election the accuracy of their predictive power, or lack thereof. Many of these pollsters should be sued for false advertising.
My only question....will the people who “never believe the polls” suddenly believe this one?
It’s good news, though. For sure.
Exactly, so Zogby showing McCain ahead in one day polling, for the first time in a long time, is a good thing.
It means McCain is picking up steam, and while Zogby’s numbers might be off, this poll makes sense when you read what McCain’s pollster reportedly said today on the conference call.
He mentioned that the last ten days of polling for McCain was McCain’s best since after our convention.

Your point is well-taken. In fact, we need to spread the notion that the “Obama-Effect” is the reason polls may differ from actual voting NOT THE “BRADLEY EFFECT.”
(The Obama Effect meaning voters telling pollsters, they’ll vote for the cool, narcissistic b.s. artist solely because of peer pressure).

I already did! I don’t trust any of the polls this year they are too far out!
Angels will vote. God save our Nation.
bttt
Months ago, my girlfriend and I placed our bets on the election and the electoral vote tallies. I had McCain with 52% and exactly 300 electoral votes...
It has been a stressful and at times depressing ride since then. But everything I’m seeing and hearing right now has made me very confident again. As long as we get out the vote we are going to win this thing. WE ARE GOING TO WIN!
I don’t trust Zogby any more than anyone else here. But sometimes our little conspiracy theories about polls being manipulated day by day solely to confuse/depress Republicans can go over the edge. The polls are wrong, but they are consistently wrong and wrong for the same reason. Oversampling of Dems and the very high refusal/hang-up rate. That any polling outfit shows a double-digit lead disappear within a week does show a definite trend, even if the resulting numbers are questionable.
The LA Times exit polling of early NV/FL voters, the rapidly tightening national polls and the ‘internals’ we’re hearing about all are showing this trend towards McCain. The high rate of so-called ‘undecideds’ less than a week away from the election has been questionable. These must break largely for McCain - Obama’s been a rock star for years. Anyone not on his bandwagon yet probably won’t be hopping aboard. A significant majority of those refusals, hang-ups and undecideds are McCain votes and always have been. Couple that with the ridiculous weighting of polls that we’ve seen this year and I truly think we’re in great shape.
Electing a black quasi-Marxist corrupt unknown is just a step too far for a majority of the American public. Once again, the Dems will prove how out of touch and stupid they can be. Hillary would’ve won this thing in a close but decisive victory. As much as a lot of us here aren’t thrilled with our candidate, his name recognition and moderate reputation will save us from total Democrat control.
We are going to win.
Maybe AMericans woke up,

2) he’s not lying anymore
Tough to tell.
They are starting to show what was true the entire time.
