[Obama] he’s not very pro-gun,” said Paul Pluff, a spokesman for Massachusetts-based Smith & Wesson
LOL!
Understatement of the year!
actually going to buy a shotgun for the wife tomorrow and a bunch of ammo for my SIG P229
was going to wait longer but no way am i waiting to take the chance of obama and his socialist views.
If any gun owner votes for obama then they need mental help and deserve to have their guns taken away the idiots.
The right to self defence is also on the line for us here
I’m out of this buying spree... but I’m stocking up on full cap magazines and bulk ammo...
if they don’t take the guns, they’ll take the ammo...
I got my order in!!!!
I bought Smith & Wesson stock a few days ago before I saw this article. It’s under a couple of bucks a share, way off it’s high around 25 last year. I’m hoping for the “Clinton effect” to repeat itself if Obama gets in. At under $2 a share, it’s a pretty safe bet.
If everyone’s so enthralled with 0, why are they buying so many more guns.
And rightly so!

Not is a big hurry, but, I’ll be buying some ammo, need a new shotgun, and I think I’ll upgrade my .380 to a second .45. But, I figure there is no hurry, even if zero is elected, he won’t take office until January.
I am more worried about “diverse” riots if “The One” loses to a cranky 72-year old fighter pilot.
going to the range tomorrow and fire off a bunch of rounds then buy up on box’s of it
the message of him taking away the right to bear arms and the right to self defence is vital
why McCain never compared the state of Chicago and that community under obama is mystifying to me.
he should say is this the change we need, is this what the country wants to look like.
Never having owned any guns before what should I be buying and how many round to have on hand. I think its time to protect my 2nd andmendment rights.
I’m one of these...my wife wasn’t comfortable with my owning a handgun (she is uneasy around guns) but she let me buy my M1 Garand a few years back...I just told her I was going to get a Smith&Wesson a couple of weeks ago, and she let me.
I think she knows I am buying it for us.
I’m skeptical about these reports. Are they buying out of fear or just because it’s now hunting season everywhere?
Do you have both the .40 S&W and the 357Sig barrels for your P229? I bought the 357 Sig barrel earlier this year for mine and like shooting the 357 round.
On the other hand, shares in Smith & Wesson and Sturm, Ruger have been taking a beating for the past year.
For a first time buyer, I would recommend a revolver (S&W or Taurus) 4” barrel in 357 mag/38 Spec. The 38’s won’t have the recoil of the 357. Get some good ammo, like Cor-Bon or Hydra-Shoks. Join the NRA and a shooting range. Practice, makes perfect.
Normally, hand gun sales don’t rise a great deal during hunting season.
I was at a big gun show in Nevada last weekend and everyone was talking about what an Obama presidency would do to gun rights. Lots of buyers of Non-Hunting types of firearms.
I bought about $500 worth of ammo...good buys on bulk sales.
