If Obama wins, Romney could be 'repackaged' for 2012 GOP challenge

WASHINGTON—A week from today, Americans will pick a new president, but a surprising beneficiary may be off the ballot: Mitt Romney.

With polls in key states forecasting a comfortable victory by Sen. Barack Obama and fellow Democrats, Republicans may find themselves booted out of the White House, shoved further into the minority in Congress and marginalized in the powerhouse of Washington.

If Sen. John McCain loses next Tuesday, Romney could be well positioned to rise as a leader of the Republican Party to guide conservatives through a few years in the political wilderness and a favorite for the GOP presidential nomination come 2012.

The problem with Mitt this time in the eyes of many folks, myself included, was that he seemed to be someone who took whatever positions were the most politically expedient. When running in Mass he was pro gay, anti-gun, and pro the right to abort. He switched on those and other fundamental issues when he decided to run for President. I don’t buy that the conversion was genuine given the timing. I think he is a man that will say and do anything to get elected.

Nicht. No more “repackaged” candidates.

No more “I must hurry to find where my people are headed so I can lead them” politicians.

Core values are core values and do not need to be “repackaged.

Romney will never be nationally elected.

Perhaps repackaged as Governor Palin’s VP candidate.

Baloney. There was remarkably little enthusiasm for Romney among the GOP in general and especially from conservatives.

This was not necessarily fair, as he’s probably a great guy, but he just doesn’t flip many switches.

The nominee in 2012 will either be Sarah or a new face. None of the 2008 nomination contenders will be in the running.

IMNTBHO.

Nah, if 0bama win, the standard bearer of Republican and conservative in 2012 will not be a white man Mitt Romney. The person will be either a white female Sarah Palin, or an Indian-American man Bobby Jindal.

If Obama wins, this country won’t make it to 2012.

These shills are just trying to garner a few more Øbama votes from would-be Romney supporters - vote for Øbama now, you could get Romney in 2012.

Nothing could be furthur from the truth: A vote for the Øne now, emboldens the FAR left to continue what they've been doing too well: pick-n-choose who runs this country. Unless Romney moves FAR left to meet them, he would have NO chance.

Mitt Romney (to whose campaign this poster donated), has exactly one week to get in front of a camera and CLEARLY TELL HIS SUPPOORTERS to go support:

Sarah Palin.

Otherwise, Mitt will not have supporters in 2012.

The Republican Party will be banned by the Øbama-Pelosi-Reid triumvirate in February 2009, along with any other “organization promulgating hatred”.

You actually think there will be an election in 2Ø12? You’re kidding yourself.

Let's focus on defeating "Barack The Wealth Spreader" and the MSM for the next 7 days. We'll have plenty of time to chart our course if McCain-Palin doesn't win.

Repackaged....

That's the problem here - "packaging" instead of being. The cult of personality has invaded the Republican party just as it has the democrats. How about, instead of "packaging" a candidate, they present a few real people? Example: Sarah Palin is real, and doesn't need "packaging". Barry Obama is a defective communist and they're trying to cover this up with "packaging".

Too much marketing in politics, not enough product.

If he was running in this election then he would have had a much better message on the economy than McCain did. A guy who made his own coin vs a guy who married it.
