“Obama may, in fact, be an illegal resident alien, subject to expulsion from the United States Senate, arrest, and deportation to Indonesia. [258,300]”
OOOOOOOOH!!!!!!!! Be still my heart!!!!!!!
“Of course you can lose, or renounce, US citizenship.”
If one is born a U.S. citizen whether born abroad or withing the U.S., one cannot “lose” one’s U.S. citizenship.
If you so believe, please source your statement.
But yes, one can renounce one’s U.S. citizenship (but pay U.S. taxes for ten years after that).
They gotcha comin’ and goin’ don’t they?
“WHY doesnt someone ask the GRANDMA in HAWAII WHERE OBAMA WAS BORN?????”
Crumbs, Ann Archy
I have it from a very good source it is a replay of Weekend at Bernie’s. Need I explain more?
By the way, my best wishes to you.
We have not chatted in a while.
withing = within
Maw Bell said she is doing fine ....today
You know I saw a documentary about O & M the other night. They interviewed his two roommates from college. I remember thinking well isn’t that weird or coincidental that his two roommates were from Indonesia.
If he registered as a foreign student this all makes sense. I just thought it was a little to convenient that his friends and roommates were also from Indonesia. Makes sense now.
Bookmark for later.
My comment was on the OP’s assertion that once a “natural born Citizen” you’re always a “natural born Citizen”.
I simply pointed out that is incorrect. People in that category who lose their citizenship are no loneger natural born Citizens and therefore cannot run for president.
I specifically stated, I do not beleive that to be the case for Obama, I was simply commenting on the point.
What I am saying is that whatever the law is or was DOES NOT MATTER when it comes to Obama. If he wins this thing, the courts are going to bend over backwards to make it work for him. It really will be very easy to rule from the bench that because Obama’s mother was an America citizen, he is one too. Just a minor matter of immigration law. Will of the people and all that. This is how far gone we really are as a country.
yes, the law was changed at some point. Even before that, there were several exceptions. Mccain was born in Panama.
exactly.
Obama has a wife? Where, oh where has she been? We are in for some interesting times if she is first lady.
I doubt it, he was a minor when he was in Indonesia. As for the trip to Pakistan, he may have flown to somewhere on his US passport and then flew on under his Indo passport. Remember this was 1980 and things were not all that computerized then.
I have been a lurker for a year or two before I got my logon. Definitely not an Obama supporter.
I think the passport issue is also relevant. At 20, if Obama traveled on an Indonesian passport (do we know this?) then it is more damaging to his claims of US citizenship
Since it has never been tested legally, I would imagine under such circumstances, it could be challenged.
I have seen all of that. I lived in Indonesia [Jakarta] 1973-75. I don't see the school as being the gatekeeper about Obama's citizenship as long as his father had adoption papers. Moreover, it wouldn't matter as long as Obama never renounced his American citizenship.
oJust an obeservation: That I would have struck upon a person involved as an official in the Jakarta US Consulate is highly doubtlful, sorry I don't believe you on that score, too many tell tale signs in your references, it would seem you're not an 'expert witness' as you claim.
Sorry, but it is true. I lived in Menteng. I a retired FSO who has served in Jakarta, Helsinki, Tehran, Riyadh, Athens, Berlin, and Warsaw. Believe it or not. My FR handle is Kabar, which means news in Bahasa Indonesia. Tidak apa apa.
Thanks! Hi to you also....I’ll get to Panama one of these days.
