LOL! Could be a red squirrel that are really only found in the UK anymore and maybe Europe. Our grays have been crowding the smaller reds out in the UK. I am not sure how the grays got there.

I've seen some black squirrels lately and there's been red with a blond tail.
Honest. Saw them in the morning, well before drinking time.
So, like before 10am, or so.

Could be a red squirrel that are really only found in the UK anymore and maybe Europe ahhh - ummm - and here I thought my Little Red and his friends were "red squirrels" = well, it is Maine - and I can (almost) see the UK from here ;o)
I also had a Gold squirrel around my yard for 4 years - he was, species-wise, a gray - but was the color of yellow tabby. How he survived as long as he did is a puzzle since he really stuck out for the hawks and owls to see.
