Well, the other side of your viewpoint is what somebody said, that resisting now may be like Peter cutting off the ear of the servant of the High Priest - if something is inevitable, resistance is futile.

Glad to hear that. We need good people to hang in there. I am not willing to be pessimistic quite yet. After all, Abraham managed to bargain for sparing Sodom if just ten righteous people could be found therein. It turned out there weren’t that many righteous there but I tend to believe that so long as a significant core of this people try to live according to God’s word, then He will still be a God of miracles. That doesn’t mean McCain will win but it might mean Obama, if elected, would be thwarted in enacting his full intentions.
