Well, ok, on the point of being redundant...I’ll repeat myself anyway...

THE JIHAD IS GLOBAL.
The global jihad is 24/7.

THE WAR ON TERROR IS GLOBAL.
The GWOT is 24/7.

May God continue to bless the GWOT.
I pray this in Jesus’ Holy Name.
Amen.

“BREAKING NEWS: Arrest made; e-mails threatened mass devastation
Classes canceled for rest of week, but other activities still on”

BY DOUG DAVIS AND MARK BELL • THE DAILY NEWS JOURNAL • OCTOBER 9, 2008

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “One MTSU student is now facing charges of terrorism and arson after police fingered him as the lone suspect involved in a series of threats and arson at the campus over the past day-and-a-half, MTSU Police Chief Buddy Peaster confirmed.

Justin Jay Davis, 19, of Antioch, TN is charged with one count of terrorism and three counts of arson following his arrest around 5 p.m. Thursday.

“This investigation is still open, but at this time we believe he acted alone,” Peaster said. “We are not going to stop looking into other possible suspects, and we’re not going to stop combing through information that we have received.””

Troops Detain Two Suspected Terrorists in Mosul Area

American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, Oct. 9, 2008 – Coalition forces detained two suspected terrorists during operations today, further dismantling al-Qaida in Iraq’s network in and around Mosul, military officials reported.

South of Mosul, coalition forces captured a wanted man believed to facilitate the movement of foreign terrorists into the area. Reports also suggest that he has connections with local al-Qaida leaders.

Forces operating in Mosul targeted a wanted man believed to have multiple links with local al-Qaida operatives. One suspect was detained during the operation.

In operations yesterday:

— Multinational Division Baghdad soldiers arrested a suspected Iranian-bakd illegal militia member and confiscated his weapons in southern Baghdad’s Rashid district. While conducting a raid in the Hadar community, soldiers from the 4th Infantry Division’s Troop B, 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, detained the man. He is believed to be responsible for emplacing roadside bombs and murdering innocent Iraqis, officials said. The patrol confiscated an AK-47 assault rifle, a pistol and various bomb-making materials during the arrest.

— Iraqi National Police detained two suspects in Abu Gharma, between Baqouba and Muqdadiyah in Diyala province. The police were acting on an arrest warrant issued by the Diyala government and arrested two teachers alleged to have conducted criminal activity. In a separate matter in the area, Iraqi National Police and coalition forces officials said they have no operational reporting that supports reports that 15 members of the “Sons of Iraq” citizen security group were detained during operations east of Baqouba.

— Soldiers with 101st Airborne Division’s Company A, 4th Battalion, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, seized a machine gun, eight AK-47s, a rocket-propelled grenade, an 81 mm mortar tube and eight grenades with fuses and detonation cord in Baghdad’s Mansour area.

— In the Karb De Gla community in the Rashid district, Iraqi soldiers found a 152 mm artillery round and a 120 mm mortar round. The soldiers secured the munitions at their brigade headquarters while an explosive ordnance disposal unit responded to properly dispose of the rounds.

— A tip from a concerned citizen led soldiers serving with the 4th Infantry Division’s Task Force 95th Military Police, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, to a bucket filled with grenades on the roof of an abandoned house in Baghdad’s Adhamiyah district. The soldiers seized six grenades and 15 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition.

— Soldiers from Company D, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, attached to the 4th Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team, found a 60 mm Chinese mortar round sticking out of the ground in the Saha neighborhood in the Rashid district. An EOD team arrived to properly dispose of it.

Afghan, Coalition Forces Kill, Detain Militants

American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, Oct. 9, 2008 – Afghan national security forces and coalition forces killed numerous militants and detained two others in operations yesterday, military officials reported.

In the Shaheed Hasas district of Oruzgan province, a combined Afghan-coalition force killed 12 militants during a combat security patrol. The forces were attacked by militants with small-arms, mortar and rocket-propelled grenade fire. Afghan and coalition forces responded to the attack with small-arms, RPG and supporting fires, killing 12 militants.

Local Afghan villagers told Afghan and coalition forces that militant fire killed 10 Afghan civilians in a nearby village. Militant fire also injured three women and six children, who sought out coalition forces for medical care. Troops took all of the injured to a coalition hospital for treatment.

Coalition forces conducted operations in Khowst and Ghazni provinces, killing one militant and detaining two suspected militants, while targeting the Haqqani and al-Qaida terrorist networks.

In Khowst, coalition forces targeted a known Haqqani militant believed to be in direct contact with senior Haqqani leaders and to coordinate and direct terrorist activities. Two suspected militants were detained.

In Ghazni, coalition forces disrupted an al-Qaida roadside bomb network in Andar district. The targeted militant, known to coordinate and facilitate attacks, was killed after displaying hostile intent toward the force. Coalition forces discovered an AK-47, multiple grenades, mortar fuses and bomb-making materials on the militant.

Afghan national security forces and coalition forces killed several militants in the Nahr Surkh district of Helmand province. A combined combat patrol was attacked by militants using small-arms, machine-gun and rocket-propelled grenade fire. Afghan and coalition forces maneuvered on the enemy position and returned fire using small-arms, RPG and close-air support, killing nine militants. A cache of RPG rounds was discovered at the site.

In a second operation in Nahr Surkh district, Afghan and coalition forces killed nine militants when their security patrol was attacked with small-arms and rocket-propelled grenade fire. Afghan and coalition forces responded to the attack with small-arms, RPG and supporting fires.
