Shelly Mandell, president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Organization for Women and a self-described lifelong Democrat, introduced Palin at the event.
Ginny Foat campaigned for the national vice presidency of NOW in 1982, but NOW member
Shelly Mandell alerted Louisiana authorities of Foat's identity, and she was arrested and put on trial in 1983 in Gretna, Louisiana.
Mandell sent the following
e-mail to Greta this past January:
Here in Los Angeles, we share in the deep sense of betrayal expressed by our sister NOW chapter in New York State regarding Senator Edward Kennedys endorsement of Barack Obama for president. Without question, Senator Kennedy has been a supporter of womens rights in regard to key legislation over the years. But by the same token, we have also stood by Sen. Kennedy during trying times when it has been a personal challenge to support him.

There is something strange going on. I was thinking about this yesterday.
Could it be possible that many of these feminists and Hillary supporters who’ve come out for Palin are doing so because they know the types of people Obama is connected with?
They realize if Obama is elected, they actually lose power being that they want no or little connection with the Code Pinks/Ayers types.
Basically putting country first to help protect themselves?

Ever heard of the Ash experiment?
If so, that’s my hypothesis of why so many people are following Obama and why once they learn the truth, so many have turned away.

I think Greta is a closet PUMA. She’s done WAY too many positive stories on Sarah, Todd and the entire Palin family and does go after those who are over the top in their criticism.
She got nasty with the Canadian editorial writer, Heather Mallick, who called Palin a porn star look-alike among other things.

And Palin coming out today slamming Obama on the Ayers connection.
We maybe getting our October surprise like a Hanukkah instead of Christmas - 8 days of presents instead of one huge one given on day.

No, you are correct she is trashing Palin. She said the other day on the view....McCain is MY friend but none of them running for president is qualified for the presidency...she also included the vp’s. She said there is only one who was qualified...she was referring to PIAPS...she didn’t step out and put bambi down...but she didn’t say anything nice either. Of course, she’d not claim to be a PUMA...but everything she said pointed to this...I saw it and heard it...the source from her mouth...it was obvious

Will Whiskey help get rid of a cold or flu ? ... I just can't shake this cold or flu I have....
Anyway... I think Sarah is going to take more of the women's vote than what Obama's team thinks.
A man can only dream... but, I hope and pray that McCain/Palin takes California early on election night along with Florida, Pennsylvania, and Ohio...

Read it again, it’s not the NOW chapter, it’s the president of the chapters personal endorsement.
Believe it, on this thread you’ll find the video of her at a Palin rally.

I can’t believe I’m actually saying this but I think Hillary would be good in some capacity in the Admin.
Look, she bring with her moderate dems, not the moveon/code pinko crowd.
And as much as we all know Hillary and Bill are out for themselves, I honestly do believe Hillary does love this country, unlike Barack and she will work her butt off.
Now, I must go wash my fingers with bleach.....

I hope this is the wave of the whole nation, but, after the debate Thursday, I asked my mom ( who is a life long FDR voting Democrat ) who did she think won the debate, and my mom said that Palin won.
Then ? I asked her, did the debate change her mind on who she was going to vote for, and my mom said " I was always going to vote for Palin " ......
Tonight, my brother told me about a comment my mom made after she heard on the news talking head show that they thought that Biden won, and my brother told me that my mom said " they are full of BS "

My next-door neighbor grew up in Germany under Hitler, her father fought for the German’s in WWII and wore the nazi uniform. She’s an American citizen now and a pure Democrat.
We were talking today about the election and she asked me who I was voting for, I told her McCain/Palin, she said Me Too!!! Went on to tell my that Obama reminds her of Hitler, the way he speaks, all of his promises without specifics, his convention speech finally did her in.
She told me about a rally she attended as a child where Hitler was speaking. Obama reminded her of that exact speech. She also told me she didn’t move to this country to every be under someone like Hitler again.
That told me a lot especially from someone who lived through that hell.
