VP Debate opens door for Palin to blast Obama/Biden on current fiscal mess
9/29/2008 | Self

Actually the VP debate is timed perfectly. Palin is the only one of the four running that hasn't been in the Congress and Senate during this whole Financial fiasco. She can open up on ACORN, Frank, Dodd , the whole mess. Explain who is the problem.

Hopefully they will use that in the debate planning.

All I can say is that I hope Governor Palin and Sen. McCain read Free Reppublic on a daily basis.

So, basically she has the same golden opportunity that McCain had on Friday before ranting about Republicans losing their way and Wall Street Corruption.

McCain’s handlers need to let Palin be Palin. Don’t restrict her. If she is allowed to be herself, she will crush Biden. Don’t chain the barracuda!

Too bad Beck cut him off because I think he was about to name names.

Yep, caught that stupidty myself, it's part of McCain's well, you know. But Sarah is unencumbered by nonsensical stupidity.

Palin is not going to attack Biden, she is going after Obama. She can score a lot of points by tying him to a 9% approval rating of congress and the corruption and cronyism it represents.

I disagree. I think that if she came across as too aggressive, it would put too many people off and backfire. In America, we will accept a certain amount of fight from a woman but, if she's too aggressive, it puts us off.

Call it sexual stereotyping or whatever, but Gov. Palin has to walk a fine line between assertive and strong. If she goes on the attack, she'll turn a lot of people off, including a lot of the women who are her greatest fans and supporters.

Exactly. It will be a massive audience for the Thursday debate. Perfect opportunity, better than any TV commercial, to lay the blame squarely at the feet of the Democrats.

And she will. It will be the most watched debate of this election cycle and she will nail it.

Biden will stutter and be “outraged” and come away looking like Lazio vs. Clinton in 2000.

“In America, we will accept a certain amount of fight from a woman but, if she’s too aggressive, it puts us off.”

Nonsense. If she comes across as a wimp, it will be a disaster. Better to be angry and assertive and show that she can throw her weight around like Mrs. Thatcher. People are looking for someone who feels the frustration that they feel and has the strength and ability to lead.

No kidding.

I hope I am not the only one who was on some sort of stupid high after Palin and now my head is spinning around like in the Exorcist because I heard the same exact things from both of them at the debate. Or at least it seemed that way. Bunch of gobbeleygook.

Well, maybe better to be a confident, poised authority who speaks with strong assertivness. If she delivers the facts on that solid rock platform, she will destroy all her enemies at once (Couric, Biden, Osama, Dodd, Pelosi, etc.)
