Jim Angle's report on Fox and Friends this AM (how we got into this mess)

Posted on 09/25/2008 5:41:43 AM PDT by dascallie

Did anyone catch this very eye-opening report?

More clarity on what we already know....the Dems put us in this position by blocking Richard Shelby/Republican proposed regs on Fannie and Freddie in 2005.

It is all documented, clear as a bell. Alan Greenspan warned, the GOP including McCain tried to act to circumvent the inevitable, the dems (Chris Dodd, Barney Frank et al) blocked to protect their gimme base.

I've been noticing throughout this mess, the MSM media has been uncharacteristically "balanced" in assigning blame... saying "there is plenty of blame to go around"....suddenly the media is so "even-handed", ''egalitarian'..LOL...love it, that is code for ...whoops..DEM'S FAULT!!!

Fox media analysist pointed out that the Fannie/Freddie mess with it systemic and devastating potential ( 1929 potential!) has received only 1/3 of the coverage of the Enron debacle....since that one was placed on GOP mindset by the media!

GAWD, the media in this country are naive , lame and dishonest to the point of dangerous.

Can't wait for this all to bubble up.

I saw Angle’s report on Brit’s Special Report show last night. Awesome.

I was really disappointed in Bush’s explanation last night. He should have put the blame squarely where it belonged. I think he has it in his head that being Presidential means that you can’t take political sides. But he doesn’t realize that when he does that he creates a vacuum that the left fills quickly with propaganda.

Rush nailed this a couple of days ago when he pointed out the fact that if there was even one Republican they could name and blame, the media would be all over that person as would the Dims. But, lacking any credible Guilty Republican they are staying away from this story like the plague!

"there is plenty of blame to go around"

For the democrats.

I heard Dasterly Dodd make a statement yesterday (on radio) and his big worry was loss of gov revenue!!

Here we are on the verge of another Great Depression and he's worried about the damn gubmint losing money.

Methinks it's time to storm the bastion..................

You know, I'm tired of hearing it's the Dems' fault. The greedy entitlement/easy credit mentality runs deep in both the Republicans and Democrats. If the Republicans had been screaming for the last 10 years about excesses in the mortgage and financial industries instead of spending like drunken sailors themselves, maybe I'd be willing to lay this whole mess at the feet of the Dems.

The President had the ear of the nation for crying out loud - he could have given dire warnings in his State of the Union address every year. Instead, he touted the success of his administration in increasing the rate of homeownership.

There's plenty of blame to go around.

An investigation of Congressional involvement is a NECESSITY!

Ah yes, but the MSM doesn’t own the flow of information like they did 20 years ago. This information will get out...cause we will help it get out.

Absolutely right and this is something all the Republicans fail miserably understanding.

I wish I had caught that. Rush also has done a very good job of running down how the Dems pushed us into this mess by blocking every measure that attempted to prevent this problem.

Jim Angle’s report was crystal clear and you are right, just awesome.

Fox News has been generally straightforward and great in this. If Obama is elected, look for them to be off the air somehow.

Who investigates the investigators? Dodd, Frank and others should be answering questions not asking them.

He’s the President, it’s not his job to place blame in a speech like last night. He was trying to sell the package and asking for bi-partisam support and since the dems hold Congress and the Senate he’s not going to tell them they suck but should go ahead and pass a bail out.

Can't wait for this all to bubble up.

When you control the amount of heat applied, you will control the amount of "bubble up" that will happen.

Don't worry, the Lame Stream Media will kill this story. A deal will be struck and it will all be swept under the rug haveing done the intended damage to the Republicans.

They will move on to, (create) the next "crisis" that will destroy the McCain/Palin campaign.

Oh, and don't worry, McCain will get no credit what so ever for doing what is right by his/our country. Mark my words.

I agree with every word you said.

Sad to say but the goal of the MSM is the same as the democrat party..the destruction of America as we know it. They both seek to turn America into a socialist country with all power held by the government. The fools in the media think they will be exempt from what will come when they will actually be the first.

The President isn't about laying blame at this point, just doing his best to keep this country financially afloat.

Absolutely . . . I have been disappointed in Bush for awhile and thought just maybe he would do the right thing and let the nation know this could have been prevented had the Dems done the right thing years ago. But no . . . not Bush. I was totally disgusted.
