I voted on a Republican ballot earlier this week. There was one unopposed candidate (Jeff Beatty) running for any office — the person who is now Kerry’s opponent.

Even if Ted died, the voters of MA would still vote for him. He’ll never be replaced. They’ll have to get that German Doctor who plastinizes cadavers to do his trick on Ted. They’lljust stand him up in the Senate...somewhere in the corner.
