"Senor Rangel, you wanna nudder margarita? I deeliver dreenk to your villa (giggle)."
He didn’t steal enough to taste that cabdy.
This guy's an embarrassment to the United States.
It’s a culture of corruption!!
It'd be nice to see some ads coming out from the GOP House candidates that make this message loud and clear.
I can’t wait to next see him on TV bitching about tax cuts for the rich and how the Dems champion the poor.
If Rangel were a Republican this corruption would be HEADLINE NEWS above the Wall Street stuff!!
How can Charlie just PAY the IRS ogg and have NO penalty???
Plus, he called Sarah Palin...."DISABLED"!!!!!WHERE"S THE OUTRAGE!!!!!
Harlem has a KING, and it’s Charlie Rangel......a CORRUPT KING.
Waiting for Charlie to pull out the race card.
Rangel Safe For Now, But Trouble Looms
Pelosi also faces pressure from the Congressional Black Caucus not to be seen as shoving Rangel out the door. Pelosi was criticized heavily by CBC members when she pushed for the removal of Rep. William Jefferson (D-La.) from the Ways and Means Committee in early 2006. Pelosi's judgment turned out to be right in that case -- Jefferson was ultimately indicted on federal bribery and corruption charges -- but the fight over Jefferson's status will make Pelosi tread carefully in this situation.
On Tuesday morning, Rangel appeared before the CBC -- and was treated to long proclamations of support and two standing ovations.
Figgers.
chuckie is RIDIN’ DIRTY!!!
LLS
Does anybody remember Dan Rostenkowski? Mr. Rostenkowski used to be a congressman from Chicago but in 1994 he was indicted on 17 counts of embezzlement, wire and mail fraud. He plead guilty to mail fraud and served 15 months in prison.
What Charlie Rangel has done is income tax evasion. No less a personage than Al Capone got nailed on that years ago. Especially telling is that Charlie is chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, the people who compose the laws that govern the Internal Revenue Service.
If a guy can’t write himself an exemption from a position like that, he DESERVES jail time.
Just a little truth in advertising in this post. Congressmen Rangel did serve in the US Army from 1948 to 1952, earning a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star in the Korean War. I would call that work, as I was in the military for a little while and wasn’t necessarily a cake walk.
This time served in the military though does not give him the right to take advantage of the American taxpayer and flaunt and break the laws of this country. He should step aside until the investigations are complete.
Murtha and Kerry served too, that was then, this is now. We all thank them for their service. It’s what they have become and the power they wield over the public that should be front and center in TODAY’S America.
Ok, so he got a couple of medals about 60 years ago.
Then there’s this kind of asinine and scheming political behavior, to the detriment of our own troops!!

He’s a socialist pig with his snout shoved firmly into the trough.
Another ‘rat crime syndicate member with methods/enablers exposed.
“Independents” are you reading, listening, watching?
Thanks to all like-minded lurkers reading this thread.
“”Congressmen Rangel did serve in the US Army from 1948 to 1952, earning a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star in the Korean War.””
And last week when he was trying to justify his actions related to his recent troubles, he said when he got out of the Army there weren’t any jobs for him so he went to college to “learn” how to be a Congressman. Have no idea where that college might be! I swear he didn’t even blink when he said it.
