The story behind the Palin e-mail hacking (Uncovered: who was responsible-graphic language warning)

This afternoon, I mentioned an infamous group of hackers whose Internet bulletin board was the gathering place for those who bragged about and publicized the Sarah Palin private e-mail hacking.

A tech-savvy reader who monitors the hackers’ site e-mailed me a detailed explanation of how it went down, who was responsible, and how someone with a conscience warned a friend of the Palin family of the crime (language warning):

Awww....thanks! Blessing and curse - just ask my family ;)

I remember her, but I can’t remember what happened to her criminal-wise. Seems like it happened right before a debate maybe(?), but we all thought it would be way after the election when (and if) she got prosecuted. Turns out, it wasn’t *that* long considering how long it took for Bush to finally be declared the winner of FL, lol. She did get some sentence, but I can’t remember what it was. She did take the fall by herself though...

Now in this case, it pretty much sounds like this is a loner liberal looking to hit the ground running for his 2020 congressional DNC seat run by providing his party with unsolicited, but would-love-to-have info to destroy Palin.

It’s not crazy to use email if you want to make sure someone else is on the record for something.

If he was really only behind one proxy, then I’d be surprised if he isn’t already in custody.

Based on the screen shots, the proxy was ctunnel.com, owned by one Gabriel Ramuglia, currently of Georgia, but who used to run a computer repair shop in Fairbanks, of all places. I wonder if Mr Ramuglia has received any unusual visitors recently.

Sarah isn’t sitting in front of her Alaska Governor office computer all day long. She has a traveling job and is on the go most of the time. She probably has to use a personal email account once in a while whenever she finds a computer with internet access.

Its not like they have free WIFI out on the frozen lake you idiots!

The law will probably get hard evidence from there, but read the comments here:

http://michellemalkin.com/2008/09/17/the-story-behind-the-palin-e-mail-hacking/

VERY interesting info about the certain son of a certain Democrat from TN who just might be involved. (FR doesn’t want names mentioned here)

I don’t know why, but for some reason, this reminds me of 2000 when that DNC lady pretended to be a GOPer and was working for Bush’s ad person in Austin. Anyone remember her??

Good memory, hadn't thought of her in years! Juanita Yvette Lozano, she worked for Mark McKinnon at the media place in Austin where McKinnon produced all of GWB's ads for the 2000 campaign. She mailed a bunch of Bush's debate-prep materials, including a videotape of a Bush rehearsal, to the Gore campaign.

Found this article, she was SENTENCED TO FEDERAL PRISON for a year, don't know if she actually served it. A quick look doesn't turn up any mentions of her since that episode, she'd be out for years now...

Woman Sentenced to Year in Prison for Stealing Debate Tape
A federal judge today sentenced a woman convicted of stealing practice materials for last fall's presidential debates to a year in prison, $3,000 in fines and three years on probation.

Many more details in the NYT article linked above.

"And now we are suppose to buy that this has not been coordinated in some manner and that it was just a ‘bored teenager’?

Not buying it folks."

I agree with you completely. When I heard the dem talking heads all saying the same thing ... "if she had govt. documents in with her personal email it could be proof of blahblahblah"...I realized that was the actual goal, to try to find something they could pin on her.

But Sarah Palin is honest and genuine. They couldn't find anything to use so now they make stuff up like ... "what if she was trying to hide email," and "we don't know if all the documents have been released."

I know full well if there was even the slightest chance that there was anything in the email they could use, the dems would be singing it from the rooftops by now.

I hope that when McCain gets in there he rides roughshod over those hackers and makes their lives miserable.

I saw that Allred fraud, some lawyer she is, any evidence that is illegally obtained is thrown out, period full stop. Poisoned fruit. How she can stand there and act as if this was a legitimate way to gather evidence shows you how partisan these people are - they cast off the most sacred tenets of their profession and our constitutional rights all to keep someone out of political power. It is disturbing and I hope these hackers are locked up. This was a disgusting, sickening invasion of privacy - but the Dem left should not surprise you - they had searched Judge Bork’s video store to find his rental list to try and embarrass his family. These are the same hypocrites that lecture us on an intrusive government - and look how they behave.

The FBI probably doesn’t need the tip.

Yahoo is an information gathering site. They download every cookie in your machine, and every entry in your file table when you use their sites. By now the FBI has “Rubico’s” life in their database.
