I haven't heard from Chertof and FEMA yet, have you? If this turns out badly, which I think it will, there will be another backlash against Bush. "Took care of things while the RNC was underway, did not care when no one was looking."
Hate to look at this politically, but the dems will. Last I'll mention it because it makes me feel dirty to think the way Dems do.

Local government Galveston/Houston is acting like Ike doesn’t exist. Galveston is not even evacuating yet. The evacuation for Rita was such a nighmare that no one will ever leave again.
