Open Letter from Tom Chittum, author Civil War II

An Open Letter to Everybody Who Read My Book, Civil War Two

By Thomas Chittum ©copyright 2008

When I wrote Civil War Two back in 1995 I had just returned from Croatia where I had fought in their civil war that resulted in the partition of the former Yugoslavia along ethnic lines. My book focused on demographic changes that I believed were driving this nation towards a similar breakup along ethnic lines.

When I wrote my book I had never even heard of the Bilderberg Group or the Pilgrims Society or the Trilateral Commission or the Council on Foreign Relations or the Council for National Policy or Skull and Bones. Then along came the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. It took me about three months of research to realize that the invasion of Afghanistan had been planned for years before 911, and that Osama bin Subcontractor was an invention of the London Banking Cartel. The U.S. government had stockpiled invasion supplies and encircled Afghanistan with military bases for years prior to 2001. Why, I wondered, had the US government decided on a land war in the heart of Asia which ran against all military logic and even common sense.

I found Civil War II a very interesting book, as did others on the CWII ping list. The link above provides an answer to a question that went around via email to CWII ping listees recently: what is Chittum up to lately?

Sadly he seems to have become a conspiracy theorist. While I am not so naive as to think there are no conspiracies in the world, neither am I so paranoid as to think that there is a grand unified conspiracy running everything.

I've always found this idea somewhat lunatic. Are we to believe that Iraq is really working for the Queen of England? McCain and Obama serve the same masters? Everything we percieve as conflict is theatre?

Sorry, I just can't make that jump. Chittum has, and has some explanation of why in the open letter linked above.

As I can't think of anything particularly newsworthy about this I posted it to "chat". Which is probably where conspiracy theory belongs.

Yes, Chittum is completely out of his gourd.

Moreover, everyone from Harry Reid to Howard Wolfson to Tom Chittum to the writers of The Princess Bride loves to spout the line about a "land war in Asia" as if it were some self-evident truth or incontrovertible dictum.

Most people don't even know who said it. And if they did, they wouldn't be able to tell you anything about the author.

When someone uses that line as if it were an argument, you know you're dealing with a clown.

I ran across an anecdote a few years back from a fellow who said “They told me that if I voted for Goldwater, we’d end up in a land war in Asia. I voted for Goldwater, and, sure enough, we ended up in a land war in Asia.”

There isn’t going to be any civil war in this country. If anything, there is just going to be a general degradation of the quality of life as people gradually get used to rampant crime and government corruption.

thanks Jack...please keep me on the CWII list....sorry Chittum seems to be out in left field these days....none the less, I still think that “Civil War Two” was an eye opener....and BTW I’ve noticed that his predictions about the growth of urban street gangs were right....at least in our area that’s been the case.

“Most people don’t even know who said it.”....a lot of people have said it, but I expect MacArthur said it first.

All the conspiracy nuts circa 1995 need to account for all those black UN helicopters before they come up with new fantasies.

Are we to believe that Iraq is really working for the Queen of England?

Probably not. But for the length of time that England had interests in the area, I'd be very surprised if they hadn't found Iraqi agents or surrogates to advance Britain's interests. Saddam no doubt kept that sort of mischief to a minimum, but now the door may have opened wider for them.

McCain and Obama serve the same masters? Everything we percieve as conflict is theatre?

Not everything, but certainly much of it. Remember how McCain was the darling of the media until he happened to be pitted against their annointed preferred candidate- why McCain was a Republican with whom they could get along. And his original sponsor in Arizona politics was the late kingmaker Kemper Marley, said to have been America's first billionaire, probably an exaggeration, though he was probably Arizona's first one.

And most certainly, there are globalists salivating at the mouth awaiting the apointment of their fellows to high administration positions whether McCain or Obama wins. Remember that when the sleight-of-hand tricksters want to pull off something sneaky, they do so while a distraction has your attention diverted elsewhere.

They look more like dark CARC *Brunswick Green* to me, though in sunlight they do appear to be black from a distance or while moving. Of course the ones being used in the sandbox in Iraq and Afghanistan are painted sand tan/yellow.

We can only wonder what response George S. Patton might have given in retort.

That’s a mean looking little booger.

The ones with the little eyeball underneath are even nastier.

Then there's the ones that fly with nobody aboard....

I think he is also dishonest.

I find it hard to believe that he had never heard of the Trilateral Commission, and especially the CFR. They both have been widely publicized for over thirty years.

I have no time for dishonest loony toons.
