Bristol isn't really a kid. And she's old enough to take care of the younger siblings. Their dad is also at home, and not on the campaign trail.

My dad contracted polio in 1956. At the time, my mom had 5 kids to deal with. Dad ended up wearing a brace on one leg, and his company, Bethlehem Steel, kept him on for a while before forcing him to retire.

Mom went to work at a shoe factory. Dad took care of the kids. Eventually, they were to have 3 more kids (me being the youngest). So mom went to work and dad stayed home. Mom did the cooking and took care of the home. Dad was a skilled mechanic, and restored antiques that he sold to help pay expenses. We kids took care of a large garden. Mom canned every autumn.

So if anybody dares say a woman can't have a job and take care of her family, that's a personal insult about my mom!

The Dems better watch their mouths! There's more like me out there in “fly over country” who don't like their attitudes!
