Excerpt:
Before she was governor, Palin pushed for a trooper investigation of Wooten over a number of matters, including using a Taser on his stepson, illegally shooting a moose, and accusations of driving drunk. At one point, Palin and her husband hired a private investigator.
Troopers did investigate, and Wooten was suspended for 10 days, later reduced to five. That took care of it, Monegan said. But the Palin administration and Todd Palin wouldn’t let go, he said.
Palin initially said that, after she took office in December 2006, she broached the subject of Wooten with Monegan just once, when they discussed her security detail. She said that she told Monegan that Wooten “had threatened to kill my dad and bring me down.” She said she thought that was the end of it.

... “Sometimes these meandering words would actually capture a straggling thought and bear it triumphantly, a prisoner in their midst, until it died of servitude and overwork.”
Thank you Hi Heels. Thank you again for saying what many of us felt, but could not gather the words or find the control to return a civil comment.
Knock off the troll comments and debate the issues.
And Obama...Biden and the reast of the terrorist lovig Liberal Democrats thank you for not voting and supporting them by sitting on your couch pouting like a 3 year old child.
Question: What’s the difference between DemocraticUnderground, ClownPosse and the FR 100%’ers?
Answer: The IP address.
Thanks for tracking down my original post. You’re quicker than I was.
LOL! That’s rich. Nice of you to finally show up. We’ve been trying to get your attention to deal with the trolls since about 11am this morning.
Hope I didn’t disturb your nap.
LOL
Wolf is now trying to sound knowlegable about hurricane preparedness.
AMAZING that CNN does not mention with the exception of NAgin, ALL THE PRIOR hurricane preparedness peope WERE FIRED.
The lesson from Katrina was FIRE the incompetent people.
McCain/Palin have BOTH fought for fiscal responsibility all their political careers!
Seriously: no matter how troubling McCain is, there is a choice of two in November:
- McCain/Palin
- Obama/Biden
There are no other choices. Objections to McCain/Palin all have to be weighed in one light: does it change the answer of which ticket to vote for. I believe that to anybody with a conservative or libertarian disposition, the choice of Palin has clearly and strongly swung the balance to McCain, and unless you have something to counter such reasoning. what you’re posting is either mere disruption or useless fluff.
I’m for a living wage for all Americans, too... They should do what they need to earn it.
The only one who took a crap on the rug was McCain.
Folks started to take issue when he kept taking craps on the rug.
I took issue when the Democrat-infested GOP leadership served a liberal portion of said horse sh*t, still fresh and steaming and covered in RINO flies up to folks like me, without even trying to disguise it as real food, and told us to eat it.
Just because it's served up with a Palin dessert doesn't make it any more appetizing.
I guess I am just pragmatic that way.
Also I am a conservative Republican and no liberal or rino will ever take over my party as long as I can muster up enough energy to fight them.
Maybe you should try it.
I just got your message.
Fine. I'll go away.
I agreed with a post. You did not receive a post from me nor did I mention you in a post. That makes it your problem, not mine.
As for the arguments today, I’ve read most but have not posted nor expressed an opinion.
You posted a troublesome quote by McCain? I can give you a bunch of them by him that are troublesome to me.
The USA is not Europe where the system supports numerous parties. There are times I wish we did but we don’t. There has not been a successful third party created since the Republicans before the Civil War. As much as I understand someone leaving the Republican party over principle, the fact remains change can only happen from within by conservatives who work to make that happen.
If you are here after the election, I am certain you will see a bunch of comments on John McCain, but you are right in one major aspect. In order to hold McCain’s feet to the fire, or change his mind on anything, he has to win first.
Will you please listen to yourself?
All of that anger because I posted a quote from McCain that he supports Minimum Wage?
I’ve never accused you of drinking Koolaid, or anything else.
I’ve only responded to your baseless personal attacks on me.
Get a grip!
Eh. I try.
Thanks,I’m just reading and learning ,but I was close to jumping in.
These people are kids.
LOL! Not these for sure.
Nap? I’ve been on mod duty since 8AM today. I suggest you knock off calling long-standing posters ‘trolls’ just because you disagree with them.
I won't sugar coat it; he wasn't in best form at all, looking and sounding very tired. Fox was too busy in commercials to carry it. CNN and MSNBC did and their idiot commentators will take the footage and run with it.
