I can understand why you might feel that way about someone who really hasn't been vetted (by us all). That was an advantage Mitt had. The MSM would have jumped all over Mitt as well, but it is doubtful they would've found anything on Mitt we haven't all heard before.

Yes, currently, Mitt has better experience to step in for McCain you're right, another advantage.

But the choice for Republicans is not the typical boring choice and will breathe more life into and strengthen McCain's campaign. Whats more, I bet it threw, the D's for a loop.

Also, unlike Quayle (who I liked very much), Sarah Palin is tougher and has a stronger personality and will be able to well handle the arrows the D's throw her way.
