Come on FlagLady. Her husband’s a great guy and a sportsman. Don’t know why you saw it as a problem but he’s 1/8 Yu’pik and that’s a plus and will help expand the GOP. She’s far more in tune with conservative voters than the other guy you mention (who I won’t overtly trash as he is helping right now), who was the most liberal gov. in the nation until a year and a half before running for prez. He would have been a disaster with swing voters and many suspicious conservatives (of his liberal record). Palin is fantastic on all fronts.
Well, it’s going to take a while for me to get over Romney not being chosen. However, if McCain puts him in a cabinet position, something financial, then I’ll be happier. I can’t slam this woman Palin as it came out of the blue and I know nothing about her. I have since gone to a couple of sources on the web to read up, and she may be an ok pick. We’ll see. I don’t like the idea of him picking a PC choice, and I never trust McCain. However, she may pan out. I’m open to learning about her and preserve the right to revise and extend my remarks. It sure is a shocker, I’ll say that. But I will read up on her and listen to her and see if she passes muster. They say she is a blunt speaker, and so am I, LOL, so that’s one big point in her favor. Is sure shaking up the MSM, and that humors me. They are all going bonkers and don’t know what to make of it. And her parents hunt caribou and her husband is/was a snowmobiling champion. Like the outdoorsy part of it. And if she gets McCain to open ANWAR, that will be a real plus. I will wait and see while I mourn for Romney. I’ll wear black for a few days till I get over it, which, considering it is now a done deal, will probably be sooner than later.
