Did a search but FR slow. Mods please remove if Live thread already started.
They do have father that cares for them also. What this woman will do for our country, she does for all of us, that includes her children.
Then you'll feel right at home at DU or KOs. Today, here at FR, we choose to celebrate the selection of a magnificent vice presidential candidate.
No, I don’t think that’s been said yet.
I was so depressed last night when I went to bed, after having to listen and watch that over-the-top Nuremberg-style coronation last night, and their worship of that radical deceiver.
The Obama campaign and their msm buddies were SOO overconfident last night. Now they're scrambling!!!
I am over the top with joy.
HYPOCRITE SEXISTS AT DU (like we didn’t know that already...)
Get a load of the Sexism on full display over at DU - they’ve even coined a special objectifying slur for the respectable Mrs. Palin, aren’t they just WONDERFUL people? So FAIR in their judgements of people...
Keep talking DUmmies - you’re just proving what hypocrites you really are... No wonder Hillary’s supporters are fleeing in droves!
Guess what? The jig is up, and we were right all along. Nothing but WORDS is what you’ve given women all these years. Enjoy your trip down to the bottom... We women have VERY good memories!!
DU THREAD: “This is historic! America’s very first VPILF!”

I, too, was hesitant...and I was one of the posters who thought her having small children would be an issue. But I am absolutely thrilled. I stood in front of the TV in awe with chills just bawling!
We are all so happy, excited and energized today but what if we lose in November? i don’t think my heart can take that kind of shock.........
Gotta believe The Great One is looking down and smiling broadly today!!!

Puerto Rico Ping! Please Freepmail me if you want on or off the list.
it put
Hillery! right where she belongs, in the PAST.
Well said, well said!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant thought. You’re absolutely right. She was in high school in 1982. That was a wonderful era of Reagan influence.
Andrea Mitchell has her funeral face on.
LOL!

This is GENIUS! WOW .... I shed a few tears, too. It’s
an historic day ... and I never ever thought McCain had it in him to be this open, forward thinking and wise. YAY ... shut up, Lindsey.
Rush was saying there are many factions in the McCain campaign, and they were leaking Ridge, Pawlenty, Lieberman, etc. to put pressure on McCain.... GRRRrrrrrrrrrr
Thank GOD for this choice ... I wonder how much input Cindy had, and who had the MOST input that pushed Mac over the top on this one.
Debates are going to be FANTASTIC!
I am a FORMER Mitt supporter and had my doubts about Gov. Palin being tough enough, that doubt was totally erased when I heard about her background and heard her speak.
I am a 69 year old widower and got so energized by this brilliant pick, I had to do something so I cleaned out my cupboards while listening to Rush.
The DU’ers are starting to turn on each other. There’s a particularly nasty series of threads questioning her morals for running for VP while her infant has Down’s Syndrome.
What’s particularly hilarious is:
1. Their idea of “caring” for a child with Down’s Syndrome, in spite of all their OUTRAGE at her nomination, would be to lovingly kill the child in the womb.
2. Working moms on DU are blasting these people for supporting a woman’s right to “choose” an abortion, but not her right to choose a job.
This is going very well, so far. If their message is going to be “character assassination”, it’s already damaging them internally...
LOL, I wonder how many people will be voting for HER, on the off chance that by some unfortunate fate that she becomes the first woman president?
Already heard a McCain spokesperson reply to the question if Palin had enough experience. The spokeswoman said, Well lets see, our VP candidate has more experience than your Presidential candidate.
-—<>-—<>-—<>-—<>-—<>-—
McCain’s got an awesome campaign staff. Exactly the right answer. The SnObama folks are going to find it very difficult to counter this.
Frankly, I think they did everything wrong this last week, and McCain has done every thing right.
LOL, I have to keep my grizzled old so and so reputation intact.
No it does NOT neutralize the “inexperience” tact - AT ALL. Sarah Palin is in charge of a multi-billion dollar budget, and is the COMMANDER of the Alaska National Guard. What has Obama done? Organized a few rallies, voted on a few bills (lied about, and skipped the rest?). Managed to spend $110 MILLION dollars on education in Chicago with absolutely NO RESULTS to show for it? Gave a few good speeches, managed to win his senate seat by default - oh yeah, that’s experience. Plus, Barack is at the TOP of the ticket - day one you’ve got a FRESHMAN Senator with no management experience who’s already vowed to do several things in clear violation of the Constitution. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out who’s better fit to lead.
Go read Sarah’s accomplishments in office - heck, look at her FIRST WEEK in office as Governor and you will see she has already PROVEN herself. She has an 80-90% approval rating in her state - when have you EVER seen that??? She took on and brought down the corrupt “old boy” network in Alaska. She took on the “BIG OIL” companies, and RETURNED the extra revenue to her citizens. Etc... Etc... Etc...
Remember that bridge to nowhere?? Not built. WHY? Because of Sarah Palin! PROVEN experience - not just WORDS.
I believe so too. I think it's just possible that we have found our very own Iron Lady.
As Governor Palin said, opportunity sometimes arrives at the most unexpected time. And from the most unexpected places, I might add.
Here are some things I’ve written on a different thread you might like to know about Sarah Palin:
a Sand Point Idaho girl I just heard from a Idaho caller on the Dennis Miller show... She will chain saw, ride a horse or snowmobile, a tough chick... beauty pageant winner... studied communications ... was interested in being a sports announcer... plays hockey... runs marathons... hunts & fishes...
To say nothing about her choosing life for her Downs baby...
Oh, and when CBS news confirmed this with her parents, they found them out caribou hunting, and theres a picture on the web of Sarah with a caribou, too.
I predict a 10% JUMP, not a bounce, for McCain due to this choice.
