Democrats Move Quick to Lessen Damage of John Edwards Affair Two-Time Presidential Contender Endorsed Obama, Has Not Ruled Out Convention Role By RICK KLEIN and JENNIFER PARKER

John Edwards' admission that he had an extramarital affair puts pressure on Sen. Barack Obama to quickly distance himself from the former North Carolina senator and prominent Democrats are calling on him to announce immediately that Edwards will not have any role at the Democratic National Convention.
By tradition, unsuccessful primary contenders are showcased at the convention, and Obama aides suggested before today's revelation that Edwards and other former candidates would be part of the speaking program.
Edwards indicated during his interview with ABC News' Bob Woodruff that he had not yet decided whether he would still like to be part of the convention and the Obama campaign.
But with the news breaking barely two weeks before the spotlight falls on the Democratic Party in Denver, many Democrats say Edwards must be completely sidelined for the remainder of this campaign -- if not longer.

Just astounding. A person has to have alot of cahones to continue to lie to the public when there are recent pictures of him with this woman and baby.
If his family was his to priority he would disappear from public for awhile and hole up with them, and not continue to drag this thing out.
Since he doesn’t appear to be considering his family, it would seem his only reasons to continue denial is because of his political career (convention) or he doesn’t want to split the money with Elizabeth.

Just saw on one of the talk news shows that his former Campaign manager has “confessed” to paying the mistress and young the money ....(he didn’t call it hush bribery money but that’s what it is).
That Guy - Barron - claims Johnboy didn’t know the money was being paid out.
1. So, Mr. Barron, I believe that makes you culpable for a criminal arrest for using campaign funds for something other than what they were given for. Isn’t that illegal?
2. I call for Mr. Barron’s arrest. Let’s see if he is willing to keep telling this lie all the way to jail.
3. Where are Johnboy’s campaign contributors??? outrage??over how thier donated funds were being spent???? to enable the Breck boy/girl to have his fun while campaigning too....at the expense of his sick wife and his children unaware.

Elizabeth probably realizes that her and her children’s lifestyles will be sorely affected by Johnboy’s infeidelity and wants to be able to live, in the time she has left, and for her children’s future, to live in the luxury to which they have become accustomed. One reason she is now coming out as the crying wife (as portrayed in phone conversation with Bob Shields.

1. If the affair was over, why was he meeting her at all?
2. If he wasn't the father of the kid, why did she bring the kid along? Couldn't get a babysitter?
