I thought that Obe had his IL Senate district boundaries moved to have less of the ‘hood and more of the rich folks closer to downtown Chicago. It’ll be the people-with-money’s house, just with more ‘rats.

When I was a young lad(25), my boss told me to have lunch with Jimmy Carter. He wanted her support, but at that time(1975) she really didn’t like him.
So, I went to lunch with Mr. Carter.
When I returned to the office, the boss asked me what I thought of Carter. My answer: “He’s arrogant and he has no sense of humor.”
Sound familiar? You betcha.
That is a lie, but what else is new? Everyone who lives near a doctor, hospital, or clinic has "access to health care". What they may not have is insurance, and that is not the same thing. Many younger people choose to self-insure, or or between jobs and (might I add) there is the small matter of illegal aliens...

That’s the first thing I thought when I read that phrase, “The People’s”. That’s a ubiquitous slogan of communism (ie, “The People’s Republic Of China”). Barry and Mishrill also don’t want to live in anything called “white”, even though it’s part of that American tradition that he was just spouting off about us needing to return to.

Now I'm not willing to test this theory, but I suspect it tastes precisely the same now as it did back in 1977.
