Could you explain that please.
Davidson College. Tony went there and always loved it. He was a very active alum.
So good to see you Sean....been way too long! Have the same problems with work getting in the way. ;>) Came to the thread late since I don’t often check FR on weekends. What a shock! Still laugh when I think of Tony posting for us to “get a room” on one of the threads! He was sure a lot of fun. As I posted elsewhere, I will miss his perspective and insight. Didn’t always agree with him, but he was always open to hearing the other side and discussing it. He was one of a kind!!
My family is well, and hope yours is as well. What’s new with the sofalad and sofalass? We’re expecting our third granddaughter’s arrival momentarily, so that’s been keeping us busy! Just found out a new grandbaby is due in February who will be living in your neck of the woods!
As you said, don’t be a stranger!! Take care!
Thanks Fudd! Found him! Darn, do miss you all! Have planned to take the rest of the campaign season off, but don’t know if I can live up to that anymore. Feel like Tony has brought me home.
I went to a funeral yesterday and I wore a blue tie with a white diamond pattern on it. I knew the deceased had a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, so I thought I would that be a nice tribute for her.
How tightly she is holding onto her daughters’ hands is making me all weepy again.
Where did you see tht? Shown on tv? Those hateful worms.
Thnks so much for the photos.
A thread on the Phelps gang at Tonys funeral. I havent looked at this yet. I have to get some hand cleaner ready first.

I happened to scan latest posts and saw the thread.
These are the first pictures I've seen of her and the children. A beautiful family...
You’re very welcome...
Thank you for this photo of Tony’s family which he so cherished. So sad to think now they are only four.
Hey there, how are you today? Wish we could have been there to pay our respects to a great, great man who was also our down-to-earth friend. I don’t say that lightly, I know most of you were better acquainted with Tony than I was, but I felt that kinship with him that he offered so generously. A prince among men has been lain to rest.
I realized around the time of the funeral this morning, there wasn’t going to be a broadcast. However, it was nice that Bill O’Reilly offered his summation of the funeral when he returned to studio to do his radio program.... glad I tuned in. Of course, he was pleased to be at such a beautiful Mass, even though a sorrowful occasion.
The Snow family will be in my prayers.
The Snow family did not wear black for the same reason, I’m sure. Tony would not want to see his children in Black. His brother wore a grey suit instead of black.
The girls’ and mother’s dresses were as beautiful as stained glass windows. What courage and strength the children had to participate in this Rite as fully as they did.
I'm sorry to hear you went through this. It is a rough period indeed. My husband died at 38. I had a little policy on him. Even though it was not a lot of money, it was enough to keep my son and I going until the VA and SS benefits kicked in and let me keep working in my small law office for awhile, and working from home, rather than having to look for a job with a steadier income. That said, it's difficult no matter what.
