ISF detain suspected terrorist, eight others in separate operations

BALAD, Iraq – Iraqi Security Forces detained a suspected al-Qaeda in Iraq terrorist and eight others in separate operations to disrupt terrorist activity July 22.
In an operation in Rutbah, west of Baghdad, the Rutbah Iraqi Police Special Weapons and Tactics Team detained a suspected terrorist believed to have been involved in planning recent suicide vest and improvised explosive device attacks against Iraqi Police. Reports also indicate the suspect housed the woman who conducted the May suicide vest attack on the Sahawa al-Iraq office in Rutbah. Four others were detained during the operation.
In Zaidon, the Fallujah Company Special Weapons and Tactics team detained four suspected weapons dealers believed to be supplying criminals in the Zaidon area during operations to dismantle AQI and foreign fighter networks in the eastern regions of Iraq.
