Did Bush mention that he doesn’t need congress to do a damned thing? IT WAS AN EXECUTIVE ORDER THAT HE COULD REPLACE WITH A NEW ONE THAT SAYS DRILLING IS ALLOWED.
I think he said he would issue an executive order to complement a Congressional action...(I think th eimplication is there that he could do it without them) Also touting drilling in ANWR and increasing refinery capacity...speed up the permit process. Good stuff but he’s said most of it before...Congress is the ‘just say no’ to all of is proposals. We need to flood the Washington switchboard again (ala immigration reform)
