Sorry, but the ACU ratings is not the holy grail ... it’s only value is for comparisons. I rarely if ever pay any attention to any of the advocacy groups’ ratings. One need only look at a Member’s ACU rating .. add his/her ADA rating and, voila!, you get 100%. That’s pretty much how it works. It’s what we in Virginia like to call macaca.

If you really want to know about any given Member, look up his or her voting record, and in particular his/her votes on those issues that matter most to you. For more detail about any Member(s) look at Barone’s Almanac of American Politics.

The ACU rating isn't the Holy Grail and I don't recall anybody on this thread saying that it was. So why setup such a strawman fallacy?

Anyway, the ACU ratings generally are a pretty good indicator of a congressman's voting record. Up thread I posted the ACU's 25 votes that they used for the 2007 rating. If you have other 2007 votes to add, have at it.
