Dear Freepers: It is Time to Support John McCain
June 5 2008 | jveritas

Posted on 06/05/2008 6:25:12 PM PDT by jveritas

In this election we have very a clear choice to make.

A choice between Victory against Islamic Terrorism or surrender to our terrorist enemy.

A choice between free market capitalist economy or socialism.

A choice between constructionist judges or liberal judges who legislate from the bench.

A choice between Life for the unborn or abortion on demand going wild.

A choice between lower taxes or higher taxes.

A choice between small government or big government.

A choice between John McCain or Barack Obama.

Let us choose John McCain. A Patriot, a war hero, and would be an excellent President.

God Bless America and our brave troops.

I found this political song very amusing. Tongue in cheek? Satire?

I say let all hell break loose with a democrat at the helm.

Relax

What bert doesn’t understand is that I am not bitter, I am calm in my resolution to not vote for McCain.

I am not in fear of Obama, if he wins it will be because the GOP dumped their base. I do not vote for Democrats. McCain is a Democrat.

One of these days people will get their eyes opened, until then, I will patiently wait until they have had enough of the manipulation.

It doesn’t matter to me what the desperate people tell themselves to do what they know is wrong. I guess some folks try hard to find an excuse that would compel them to vote for a guy that is a Democrat, that basically tells you to screw off, and you will vote for me.

I voted for Reagan twice, worked the polls for him. I did that because I believed in him and he didn’t disappoint me. I reluctantly voted for Bush twice. No more for me. The GOP needs change, and that change ain’t McCain.

Dear Freepers: It is Time to Support John McCain

Like McCain, we're all mavericks now.

And like McCain's constant reaching out to liberals, we are reaching out to Ron Paul, Bob Barr, John Galt and anyone else who comes to mind.

Thanks. Obviously the McCain people have yet to figure out that the least amount of campaigning, the least McCain says, the least they pound conservatives, the better off their outcome will be.

Strange days, these.

Yes, strange days indeed. This site used to be soooo anti-Mcpain it wasn't funny. Now we're just supposed to forget his bad points and jump in line behind him. For me and mine, it ain't gonna happen.

No kidding, it’s twilight zone time.
This thing of suddenly proclaiming McCain as our savior reminds me of the words spoken long ago about another poor leader.....

“But, Sir, there are serious charges which I will make against him... I charge him with it here today and I will do it tomorrow....... I will show the deep duplicity and falsity that have followed him from his childhood to the present day. When the winters of 65 or 70 years have silvered his head with sin, what can you expect of him now?”

I am not bitter. This bitcon thing is merely an excuse to blame conservatatives if McCain loses.

I have a good husband, 3 great grown up boys, wonderful 80 year old parents. My life isn’t going to end no matter who gets elected.

A very wise man, many moons ago, helped me through a crisis in my life. He told me to mentally draw a line in the sand, that with which is the limit of my toleration, and stick to it.

I am doing that and quite frankly, it is like being set free. I haven’t waivered since then, and I certainly am not going to do that for John McCain!

Yep, they're shopping early for a scapegoat when their leader falls on his face.

I have a good husband, 3 great grown up boys, wonderful 80 year old parents. My life isn’t going to end no matter who gets elected.

I have a great husband, 5 grown kids and a 12 year old. My life will continue as well.

If Mcpain is elected and shamenesty is passed and all other dangers to this country because of his election, those who refused to compromise their principles and refused to vote for him can take comfort in the knowledge that they had no hand in the further destruction of our country.

I am doing that and quite frankly, it is like being set free. I haven’t waivered since then, and I certainly am not going to do that for John McCain!

Amen!

I totally agree with you. I don’t get bitter over an election. I don’t count on government for my happiness.

Sounds like you have a great family too. One way or another, I will also reject voting for the destruction of America.

We want CHANGE, the change we need is to go back to where we began in this country. All this BS we hear now is quite simply BS. It is imported BS, sent here to destroy and pillage a wonderful Republic.

Thank you. Sounds like you have a great family too.

Families tend to form a circle when wolves are at their door. With the choice for president being what it is, we'll hunker down and pray our country comes out the other side only slightly damaged and not so badly damaged it can't be fixed by another Reagan waiting in the wings.

I agree 100%.

Mcpain, or obamassiah as president - mind-blowing!

Hey, we will forge on. There are lessons to be learned and they will be tough ones.

Hopefully, once you have been smacked upside the head a few times, you will get it.

The GOP is going to get smacked upside the head...the second time. LOL

The important fact today is that McCain is.

The cold hard fact that trumps all the highminded anti McCain rhetoric is ....McCain is the nominee and most nearly exhibits conservative values. Perfection is not possible.

He is not a Democrat and never was. That cannard is a profound intellectual prevarication.

Ah geesh, bert. McCain is not even anywhere close to being perfect. No one expected anyone to be perfect. We did expect a conservative who would, at the very least, try?

McCain thumbs his nose and does everything he can can to tell us to get ....ed.

He is a big loser, and we are about to witness a loss. Don’t blame conservatives, though. You knew far in advance they were not happy. Most smart people correct errors in advance, instead of waiting for the error to happen and then pinning the blame on the people who pointed out the error from the start.

You are absolutely right.

A sane GOP would have figured out what happened in '06 and changed course. Maybe they'll learn their lesson this time around, but I won't hold my breath.
