I got to know your site by reading a chinese forum about the earthquake, quite popular one, I guess some of the other new Chinese members come here by reading a post there mentioning this site.

I am glad this site has not been blocked by the Chinese government yet.

This specific post tells Chinese that most of you are very sympathetic to the victims in this disaster, I have been reading the replies.

Few of the replies felt guilty and mentioned how happy they all were when Sept-11 happened in NYC. I knew that moment when I was so sad and even mad when reading the mainland forum of all the cheering on the tragedy. I felt unspeakable sorry for the fact - but this was how bad it was.

I am glad to see the kindness from the heart of people here eventually have a channel get to China, at least these few of them felt shame on being so excited when people were killed in 911.

But still many now are posting in that forum saying: until I see the money from those Americans, I wont believe they care.

It is a mixed feeling for me... I wish Chinese will be able to get out of the hate that the communist government has planted in their heart. I hope one day they will understand the only way to be truly strong is to be kind to others and respect others.

The traditional culture/value has vanished from mainland after 60 years ruling by communist, it is hard to communicate with those from my homeland, since people lose their ability to love... hate has controlled almost everything.

That must be very hard for you and it's so sad that so much culture has vanished.

All what I mean is that the gov should let foreign rescue teams in. One of my friends is an officer of a local rescue team in Deyang. He told me that the damage is mass and hundreds of people dead and more buried under debris, the local team have very poor tools or even have no tools and are without professional earthquake rescue training. It is time for the US, or Japan or Taiwan teams and other teams either from other countries or other parts of China.In some places,they don't need more people on rescuing,thousands of troops had already been sent,they just need some professional help and tools or something else.I'm a proud patriot，but I don't think the government and the country is one indivisible part. BTW, fend off helpers is not a wise choice, head of the government say they'd like to accept the help,but no progress till now to say OK for foreign rescuers.Like other friends says,sorrow has no ideology,the same to helper.HELP HAS NO IDEOLOGY,JUST LET FOREIGN SAR TEAM IN BEFORE IT IS TOOOO LATE

On TV news this evening the report was that we have offered aid, but the Chinese government is still in the process of making up its mind about whether or how to accept it.

1.our goverment is always trying to persuade us to forgive all of other govements who always uncooperateable(as public think).and as we thought,govement equals nation.so it`s not only our fault in schadenfreude of Sept-11,you also have works to do.only one govement can not effort too much.

2.out goverment is doing their best to save our people currently,so i disdain those people who treat the earthquake as a chance to rebuke our goverment.

3.currently,4500 skytroopers(every one with testament left) of PLA are trying airborne into disaster area and we know wenchuan was completely destroied,and there`re no land way to enter wenchuan.we still dont know how many people were killed now.

4.most people were camping these days.with the rain,there may be a flu over sichuan.but the aftershocks are more slightly and unfrequently,so i go home since yesterday.hope it`s not a mistake.

5.the sun appeared here just now.but there still will be rainly in the south of sichuan.seems north are becoming safely,we may go to donor blood after my classmates packed up their tents.
