I posted this suggestion on another thread. How about Elaine Chao? A woman, a minority and married to Phil Gramm. She’s been a Bush Cabinet member for going on eight years. What do you think?

Nobody from the Bush administration should ever be chosen as McCain’s VP because this will only strengthen the “political left’s” position of saying that a President McCain is truly a continuation of President Bush’s policies on most of the issues (President McCain=President George W. Bush)!

Whatever her merits otherwise, she's a naturalized citizen and therefore ineligible.
