I make no claim that this plan, as revealed in this story is really what Correa and Chavez are trying to achive. However, by their actions, it doesn’t really seem that far off.
Also based on the notes by the FARC, and comments like this, I just find it interesting that a lot of these factions are relying on an Obama win. Not that that is Obama’s fault, but it is interesting nonetheless.
In any case, the mental patient would be the autor (Juan Manuel Ruiz), who’s been doing journalism for 17 years according to the page. Sadly, nowadays that isn’t a sure sign of sanity...
